Hello,

Once you finish the install and find your media buttons do not respond, the drivers you need are for your specific notebook brand. You can find the drivers on your restore disk that came with your notebook or you can download them from your brand support website. Once installed you should have no further trouble.

Good Luck

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Dismiss the 1394 for Firewire. You just need the correct NIC / LAN driver. Use this link to get you strated. There is a only a Modem driver when you get there, but I did see it noted as a LAN install for another model.
http://support.gateway.com/product/?cmpid=supportnav

There is also a Download Hardware Vendor Detection Utility link. It may help identify your NIC if the Modem setup does not work and best of luck.

My windows media center 2005, can't install media?

if you have the OS installed then that tells me you need the sound card drivers. Go to this page:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=2684&l=en&s=pub&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_8400&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=

Choose your operating system, then go underneath where it says audio and choose the one that says driver.

Download it and then install it and you should have sound then.

Xp media center says no ntsc tuner installed

Okay, Media center does not work with some Wintv HVR's yet it will work with the software it came with and sometimes media center will use the wintv software to make it work but its sketchy. If you want a more media center compatiable card look at www.microsoft.com website they have a list of media center compatable Tv tuner cards, Trust me I am having the same problem with my tuner card now and its not wintv its a RCA and its under windows 7 this is just the thing here not all card work with media center.

Visulizations will not activate

Windows Vista has a unique feature like if u open something say a game & if ur display driver stops responding, it automatically restarts the Display driver & puts u back to desktop.

So might be, whenever u start ur Viz., the display driver would not be supporting it and so it gets u back to desktop.

for that i'll ask u to check whether u can see visulizations in ur Windows Media Player or not. if yes, try to reset ur display driver by uninstalling it & reinstalling it

thanks

Windows media center on start up freezes computer, why

When that happens you usually need to backup your data, and reinstall the system to fix Windows corrupted files.

Try first doing a system restore to the most recent date before you started having the problem. If system files are damaged this will not help.

The media center is part of the WMC operative system. You can also reinstall media center alone using add remove programs, then Add remove windows components. Often that does not work, and you need to use a Windows MCE setup disk to fix the problem.

XP Media Center: Tuner Hardware not found

go into the drvice manager
right click and select scan for hardware changes
this should popup the tv tuner and automatically install the drivers..

If that fails
turn off the system
remove the tuner card
boot the system and using the device manager scan for hard ware changes
shut down
replace the tvtuner
restatr and in the device manager scan for hard ware changes again

Also in Mce insure you have the correct imaging device and tuner device selected, this will be located in the setup options
