If you type your IP Address into your internet browser, you should be able to log in to your router and change settings.

You will probably have to provide a username and password.

How to put password so the neighborhood couldnt access my dlink router

Hi,
All you have to do is connect to the router and change security key/ secure the connection. Just follow the following steps: -
First you have to access the router through web browser (Internet Explorer) by typing the IP address of your router in the address bar, which is 192.168.0.1 (Default router settings are written under the router)
(unless you've configured otherwise, the default username is admin and the password "leave it blank")

Lookup for the options to do the following: -
Next step is to secure it (adding a network security key):
1.On the left-hand side, under Setup, click "Wireless Setup" Click on Setup at the top and then click Launch Wireless Security Setup Wizard. Select your desired encryption method (WEP
)
3.Choose a Network Key - it can be anything, as long as it's 8-63 characters in length
4. Click Save Settings.
Also, do the following changes: -
1. Change the SSID (Name) of the router
2. Change the default administrative user name and password
(The above steps would prevent unauthorized access to your router)

Now your router and your connection would become secure and the user has to provide the network key to access the internet. Please note down the settings such as SSID Key, User Name/Password and Security as in case you loose this information you cannot recover it back)
You may also download and refer to Page 60 onwards of the PRODUCT MANUAL DIR-625 for further information, if required

Im using DIR600 and is not working. Sometimes it will work for only an hour. Sometimes not at all. all lights are orange in color. I dont even detect the router itself even if it's pluged. When connecting...

Hi,
The following is my solution for similar problem with D-Link DIR300. I hope it would be helpful to you as well.

Reset the router to factory default setting, press and hold the reset button for few seconds (It is at the back of the router near the DC Power Jack). The LEDs will then blink and the routers factory settings would be restored. Please note that, after resetting the router you should be able to see the router and connect to it via LAN Cable of Wirelessly as the router automatic assigns the IP Address and gateway etc. Before proceeding to the next step please make sure that you are getting the signals as well as internet. However, the internet connection would not be secure, which can be done later.

Now, all you have to do is connect to the router and secure the connection follow the following steps: -
First you have to access the router through web browser (Internet Explorer) by typing the IP address of your router in the address bar, which is 192.168.0.1 (Default router settings are written under the router)
(unless you've configured otherwise, the default username is admin and the password "leave it blank") and lookup for the options to do the following: -

3.Choose a Network Key - it can be anything, as long as it's 8-63 characters in length
4. Click Save Settings.
In the screen shot below I have highlighted the above mentioned options.

Router password is the password to access the router settings.
SSID is the network name. When you try to connect to the wireless network on your laptop, you will see this network name.
If your network is secured network then it will ask you for the network key or the password. You need to enter the ' security key '.
