Question about Intel Frontier Design Dakota 24-Bit PCI Soundcard Sound Card
When I uninstall the sounddriver det computer find the product, and I start install, when it's finish it comes a text: This unit cant start.(code 10)
anyone have a solution for me?
I have no sound of my computer.......

I have the original soundcard...I think its in the main system card...all I did was just too install windows again, and I start my hole system from the start, and then it didnæt work...
I try to install it with deleting it and then restart my computer, and then it install itself, but its wrong with something...
unitstatus: this unit can not start. (code 10)
can you help me...thank you

I also have the same problem of not having sound in my system. Please do something about this as this may spore market for you in Nigeria.

Hey Pekka,1989 did your motherboard supported the sound card that you bought?...if not supported to your motherboard, you must install the cd driver of your sound card..
and to you, hellojollyji, and kauntey?...is that also a sound card?..or a built in soundcard?....if buit-in sound, right click the "my computer" and go to "properties", then click the "hardware", then click the "device manager", in that case, you will all components of your motherboard, find the "sound devices", then if you saw a "yellow question mark", that means, you didn't install the driver of your sound..BUT, but if there's no "yellow question mark"in that device...follow this instructions, have you see the digital clock at the right bottom of you PC?...have you seen the "speaker logo",right click, and click the "open volume control", click the file at the left top of the dialog box, then go to properties..you must see the title "mixer device", what is your sound type?.."realtek or AC97?...

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand,system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
