I quart of premium fuel (32 ounces) to 3/4 ounces = 42.7:1
No chainsaw or any other 2 cycle device has EVER recommended 42.7 to 1.
Any chainsaw outlet sells 2.6 ounce containers of 2-cycle oil that should be mixed with 1 gallon of premium fuel. That is 50:1 and may be safely used in all 2-cycle engines once adjusted to operate with this mix. Any mix over 1.5 months old should be consumed in a 4 cycle engine. HTH

Check for correct fuel pressure.
If fuel pressure is low could be bad fuel filter, fuel regulator or pump.
If fuel pressure is correct could be bad MAF sensor, injectors, O2 sensor or vacuum leak on inlet manifold.

Change spark plugs fuel filter fuel pump engine can not start

Wow! You've really got your hands full! 1) Verify the fuel pump is installed correctly and has power. 2) Verify the fuel filter is installed correctly. 3) Verify the spark plug wires are correctly installed. The number one reason for a car not running after an owner changes the spark plug wires - the wires were not installed to the correct cylinder.

What is the problem?this ryobi ss26 weed trimmer gets fuel and spark but yet will not start

Is the fuel the correct type. Most weed trimmers use mixed fuels and they must be the correct mixture ratio of gasoline and 2-cycle oil. Some are 16 to 1, some are 30 to 1, some are 40 to 1. Check your manual or on the unit for the correct mixture ratio. If that is correct, and you are getting fuel and spark, the only other thing that would affect it would be a mechanical problem such as low compression due to using fuel with not enough oil causing premature wear. Toyota camry was running fine now it won't start when i jump it the car stalls and won't start

Could be either a fuel delivery problem or an ignition problem. Replace the fuel filter and check for correct fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Replace the fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, and pickup strainer as necessary. If the fuel pressure is correct at the fuel rail, begin diagnosing for an ignition system issue.

2001 chevy blazer won't start, no fuel, replaced the filter, won't start, when primed runs until out of gas, I hear the fuel pump working, but no fuel, could the pump be bad and not enough...

Hi Ralph,
First let me say that Jeremy W's answer is absolutely correct.

However, I would like to take a moment to applaud you for your question. Most people would not bother to ask what the correct fuel pressure should be. YES! it is absolutely possible that the fuel pump motor could be spinning and not pumping fuel. This is WHY the fuel pressure should be checked, because this is the only true test that will tell you if your fuel pump is working correctly.

Then I would also like to add that if you find that the fuel pressure is correct, then this only eliminates your FUEL DELIVERY system. It does NOT eliminate your FUEL INJECTION system. It sounds pretty obvious that if it runs when you add fuel to the intake that the problem is definitely fuel-related though.

So if you find the fuel pressure to be OK, let us know and we can help you diagnose the fuel injection system.

You are going about this the right way---isolate the SYSTEM at fault first. Only then can you run pinpoint tests to determine the actual cause of the problem.

Drive on!

Fuel problem - put 12 volts to the front fuel pump and she is working - car fired after that but stalled right out again -1986 911 turbo

Fuel pump is working, but it has to deliver a correct rate to maintain correct pressure in order for the Fuel distributor work. The car was fires shortly since there is some fuel at initial burst, since the rate is low so pressure could not be maintained in the line to continuously support the distributor. Need to replace the pump and the fuel accumulator.
