I have tried to run the automatic troubleshooting at HP site. However a window pops up and says " install this add on" so I agree. Then get this " NEED to install the latest version of HP instant support-driver check software"

    Suppose to be automatic ...then..

Then a windows window pops up that "Internet Security Warning"

    BLOCKED "hpsddObjSigned.cab"

and there seems to be no way to get past this. I even disabled my firewall.

ok disabled lots of things and got past that. but it did not recognize printer connected. Also there are 6 different software printer drivers listed at HP. How would I chose. Downloaded all and waiting for advice.

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Tec...

Do I install all of them plus the ocr? libraries?

There is a system malfunction on the device.

Please uninstall the driver on the pc, restart the pc and reinstall driver.

That should fix it.

Cheers.

You may want to try and download the most recent drive for your printer. The following link will take you to the HP website. Select your operating system and download the newest revision of the driver.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=66367&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=66359&lang=en&cc=us

If after this has been completed and you still have issues there may be an issue with the firmware on the printer which you may want to call HP to see if it can possibly be flashed. This is not a typical user serviceable method that is why they do not list it typically. Good luck!

HP Laserjet 3330 Multifunction monochrome printer, copier, scan and fax. This machine will warm up, and after it reads "scanner lamp warming", the scanner lite lights up, the carriage moves back and forth,...

Hello,

This type of problem is usually caused by dirty mirrors in the scanner. After a few years of use the mirrors and lenses in the unit will get a fine coating of dust particles on them. The dust interferes with the scanner initializing the optics. When this happens the unit displays the Scanner warming up message on the screen and keeps trying to move the scanner assembly to get a good reading from the pickup. To solve the problem you will need to disassemble the scanner portion and clean all of the mirrors with window cleaner and a soft cloth or q-tip. To get dis-assembly guides just do a google search for the 'scanner warming up' error.

I hope this helps, If so please rate our solution.

suspect either worn ADF(automatic document feeder) pickup roller or there is a jam in the ADF unit where the paper feeds to the scanner.

My hp 5610 all in one does not scan.

Maybe the scanner is locked. Open the scanner top and check just under the lid, you should see a white circular thing that says Lock / Unlock. Trust that was your real problem.

Let me know.

Describe your hp laserjet 3330 ?

The problem may be in the machine you're sending to, if you get a copy thru the adf or on the glass with no lines, it's the same image you would send thru fax. Check the narrow glass though, I usually find white out on that glass and have to clean it off.

Tried to print something from the glass, got error message

this is usually the case when certain settings that are required by the registry are not in place, The solution could be as simple as unistall the scanner driver restart the system and reinstall the scanner driver.

If this doent work get back old registry values by going to start-Programs-accessories-system tools -system restore and restore the settings to the time when youre sure the scanner worked .

PDF files are notoriously slow to print. You might invest in more printer memory.

Fax and cancel lights are flashing

I found this solution at HP website. It worked for me. Good luck!

A Scanner Bulb Error message is received as a result of the HP LaserJet 3300mfp series product scanner’s inability to find the home reference point.
SOLUTION:
Perform the following steps to walk the scan assembly from the home base and resolve the issue.
1. Remove and replace the power cord from the unit.
2. Wait approximately 35 seconds for the scanning assembly to “walk out" and then quickly remove the plug again.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2, three to four times until the head moves approximately 1 inch away from its normal resting place.
4. Replace the plug and let the product fully finish the boot cycle.
