Question about Toshiba 52HM95 52" HDTV Projection Television

No picture sound is good

I watch the t.v for about 1 night . the next morning i turned it on and i had sound but no picture. i check the blub the blub seem to be good. so want else would i have to check for the problem. can you help?

    i have a toshiba 62" DLP. i turn it on and the green light just flashes and i have sound. the bulb is good. what is the deal?

The lamp my apper good by visuly looking at it but still could be bad. also this tv has a ballast that powers the lamp. and that could be bad...

Changed the light bulb and my TV still will not come on. We have volume, but no picture.


Try unplugging the HDMI cable. Turn off the sources (complete power cycle by unplugging all from the wall and the equipment if possible). Turn on monitor and then plug in all the rest.

Sounds like a capacitor on the power supply is bad. Easy fix.

Resolder all the Pinns on FBT flyback transfomer, CK capacitors cp114,120,150 if ANY OF THEM IS PUFFED UP ON TOP REPLACE ALL 3 OF THEM 2200UF 16V (2) 220UF 35V.

Check the horizontal output transistor. If that is good you will most likely need a new flyback

Dark over night


Does the TV have a light sensor? If so, turn it off.
The light sensor limits the backlights intensity at night or when it's dark in your room in order for better vieweing convenience.

If you are in a dark environment, it really pains your eyes when the view is too bright. Same works the other way around. If it's day, and light in your room. The light sensor will dimm the backlight for it isn't needed.
