My brother mfc-7220 printer show"toner

You do not necessarily need to replace the toner right away. The toner has 2 visible clear tabs when you are looking at either side of the toner cartridge. This is for a reader built into the unit to recognize that the toner is low. However, if you cover those clear plastic pieces with black electrical tape, you will be able to achieve an additional couple hundred prints and when the toner no longer prints on the page, you are definitely out of toner.

MFC-7840W Printer Brother, we have replaced the toner many times and the printer always shows the message on its screen: low toner, and after that shows: toner life end, what we can do, because this is the...

Open the front cover. Remove the drum and toner. Remove the toner from the drum by pressing and holding the green/blue tab on the right side then lift the toner out. Shake the toner side to side for 6 times, and on the drum unit slide the blue/green tab on the far left side from left to right for 6 times also. reinstall the toner back to the drum unit. reinstall drum and toner back to the machine. Close the front cover. The display should show the date and time.
Hope this will help.

How do you change the cartridge? i am having difficulty removing it.

hi,

you open the front door and pull out the toner cartridge/drum. when you open the door there is a little handle on the left that unrestricts the cartridge from coming out. once its out, you push a button, (there may be 2) on the right side and possibly left, you push them down to separate the toner from the drum

thanks

Brother mfc 9700 need to change toner cartridge but drum wont come off, how do i get this off safely and back on again?

If you open the door and the toner doesn't release, there may be a broken gear on the left side that releases it. The black lever on the left side of the door disengages the toner and when that doesn't pull freely the gear inside is broken and a shop needs to replace for you. If just the toner, you press the blue lever and lift the toner off of the drum.

Need new drum for brother mfc-7220 all in one. Not even 1 year old. Is there something I can repair or fix instead of replacing the drum for about $100+ ?

If the print quality is still good, just reset the drum counter. Open the front door, press OPTION, press 1, close front door.

I have a Brother MFC 7220 printer. When printing, there is an almost indelible, yet noticeable line down the left-center of the page. How do I get rid of it? In short, how do I clean the Brother MFC...

This could be the result of several problems. The quickest, cheapest, and easiest thing to try is to clean the "corona wire". This is done by removing the drum/toner unit. On the drum unit (the big grey cradle) is a blue tab with an arrow on it. Slide this back and forth twice, being sure that the two arrows line up when you are done. Put it back in the machine, and make a copy or print from your computer to test the quality. If this does not solve the problem, you may need a new drum (every 12,000 pages) or a new toner cartridge (about every 2,500 pages).

PS. in any case i blocked with paper labels the viewing windows from transparent plastic on the toner itself....
