When does this error message appear? Which Operating System is installed on your computer? Did you add or remove any new hardware? Try starting the computer in Safe Mode.

First download the recovery cd from here.
Second Burn it to CD
Then turn off your computer, then after that, turn on again your computer and while the screen is blank, just keep tapping F8 key until you will see the advanced boot options, select your CD ROM.After that, click repair computer, after you click that windows will load you will then choose the US as keyboard layout just follow the on-screen instruction,if you will see like "choose an recovery option", just choose start-up repair and then your computer will begin the start-up repair
Hope will work, but if nothing happens you need to reinstall the Operating System of your computer.

Can i restore a fujitsu siemens Laptop to factory settings without the recovery disc?

To factory status - no. But you can reinstall Windows using a generic retail install disk and you key, later manually install all the drivers and you will be in the same situation, just with a little more work.

My pc is lock .my dauther try to many password

Some times the CAPS Lock key may be on, so please make sure that the CAPS Lock key is off.

If the issue still exists, I request you to perform the full system recovery using the recovery disks. To perform this full system recovery, you can use the recovery disks that you have created using the recovery partition.
Use the recovery discs to restore the PC by following the steps below:
1. Insert the recovery disc in the optical disc drive and start the computer.
If the computer is running, insert the recovery disc and immediately click Start and select Restart to force the computer to start from the recovery disc.
2. When prompted, Press any key to boot from CD or DVD, press any key on the keyboard.
3. Allow the recovery disc to start and load the required files while the Microsoft loading screen is displayed. It may take several minutes to load the required files.
4. When the HP Recovery Manager window displays, click Advanced options , System recovery , and then click Next to open the Recovery Manager.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions and perform the required actions.
NOTE: Do not interrupt the recovery process even though the computer may restart and the Windows desktop may display at various times.
· When prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to Backup the user files.
After performing the backup, when prompted, re-insert the recovery disc, and then click Next to continue the recovery process.
· A status box is displayed to indicate the status of the recovery and the estimated time remaining.
· If you used multiple discs when you created the personalized recovery discs, follow the prompts to remove the first disc and insert any requested discs.
6. When prompted to Insert the Supplemental driver disc , take one of the following actions:
· If you purchased a replacement recovery disc from HP, and it included a Supplemental driver disc, insert the disc and click OK or Next . The recovery program checks the supplemental disc and installs the specific needed files.
After the Supplemental files are installed, a prompt is displayed to remove the Supplemental disc and insert the original recovery disc.
· If you purchased a replacement recovery disc from HP, and it did not include a Supplemental driver disc, click Skip or Cancel . The recovery program will ignore the request and install the next file on the recovery disc.
· If you created a personal recovery disc, press Next to continue.
7. Continue following the on-screen instructions to complete the recovery process.
NOTE: If you have not created a personal recovery disc, or the recovery disc fails or become corrupted, see HP Notebook PCs - Order Recovery Discs for Vista as your notebook is preinstalled with Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1.
For detailed steps you can refer the provided web link:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c00809678&product=18703
NOTE: Clicking the above link may give an error indicating that it is invalid. If this occurs, copy the link and paste it on the address bar in your browser until the complete address is displayed in the Address box.
If you do not have the recovery disks you can order these recovery disks from the local HP phone support. Please use the provided phone number to contact the local HP phone support.

Sata hdd windows dell recovery cd will partition install windows

The system is originally designed to use IDE HDD, make sure the necessary chages for Sata HDD are made in the BIOS, next make sure the Recovery disc is fine without any scratches. You can order a new Windows OEM recovery disc by calling Dell tech support (1-800-624-9896-US) and try installing the OS. The disc will cost you not more than $12.

To reformat toshiba p300-1cn without recovery discs??

If you do not have a recovery partition, you will need to have some sort of bootable disc with an operating system on it. The reasoning behind this is that your computer cannot format a hard-drive it is currently running off of unless the hard-drive is partitioned and your OS is running on a partition that is not being formatted. I would recommend either getting windows recovery disks, or a copy of Ubuntu or such free Linux distributions for this action. After your Laptop is formatted it will have no Operating system and will not work until one is installed on it.

Installing windows XP - Error encountered

Can you reboot and get into windows or is now corrupt?

What do you mean by 'uninstalled XP'??

You cant uninstall it unless you format the drive, in which case the recovery discs are now probably useless as they rely on a folder on the HDD called i386.

Recovery discs normally dont have the OS on them, they rely on the I386 folder to gather info about the computer and then restores it to the state when it was new.

If you can acess the system, reboot and go into the bios and change the boot sequence to CD, then insert the first recovery disc. then save the settings and the computer will reboot and start the recovery process again, this should clear up the error.

If it does not it will be because the i386 folder is missing in which case you can either explore the recovery discs for it or you will have to buy a copy of Windows XP.
