Question about Computers & Internet
I have a home PC with two IDE Hard Disks on one of which I have my o/s and on the other I have my data. I also have an external Hard Disk which connects by USB.
My o/s was XP Home and I had folder lock running on the Data HDD and on the external HDD.
I followed the procedure on Folder Lock web site and made each of the Data folders as if the were usb flash type drives – as I say one is external anyway.
Yesterday I installed Windows 7 on my HDD which was XP home.
I formatted the HDD and installed windows 7 – my Data drive was not formatted and the external drive not touched.
When I went to run folder lock on my Data drive the first message was password not recognised access denied.
Next time I tried it I got prompted to enter my registration id number and password which I did and then prompted me to set a new password which I did and ‘locker’ opened but was empty. I tried setting the original password but still locker opened empty
When I look at the properties of locker I can see that it shows the number of files as 704 and 6.5 GB on disk. Therefore the files are still there I just can’t see or access them when locker opens.
On the external drive it started the same password procedure so I stopped in case I did something wrong
How do I get my files back?
