Hello. In the winter you do not want the air coming directly at you, instead you want it to be pulled away from you and mixed with the other air in the room.

Regards, Joe

Why still over heating, replaced all last year, water pump, stat, flushed rad

Possible causes....Poor internal circulation or heat exchange due to blockage or corrosion/scale.
Likely causes.... Electric rad fan (if so equipped) failing to turn on, or broken fan belt (if so equipped), or broken, damaged or missing fan blades, or blockage of air into radiator (lots of bug guts, plastic, paper, debris in general), or damage to radiator itself. (cooling fins are mostly bent over restricting air flow or circulation, scale build up inside of the radiator...not always "flushable" preventing good heat exchange.
One or some of these maybe causing your grief. Good Luck.

Does the fan operation bring in outside air or just circulate air inside the space?

The fan is the same one use to circulate air thru the heat or A/C coil. When set to auto, the fan only comes on when the thermostat senses that it needs to add heat or cooling to the space. When set to on, the fan runs regardless of whether or not it is adding heat or cooling on not.

When I turn on the heat this winter i found that I lose my heat when i stop at a light or running in idle. The heat works the best when i have the control on low fan, but it takes for ever to heat up. ...

When you hit your gas, the volume increases in your radiatior and the hot water circulates. When you are low on antifreeze or coolant, it doesn't circulate during idle. Check your coolant levels and make sure the thermostat is opening when the engine heats up. Do this by running the engine with the radiator cap off. When it heats to 190 degrees, you should see the level drop, start to steam and start to move. Don't forget to rate me high please.

Help- when heater gets to room temp. the circulating fan stops, but fire remains in combustion chamber and the blower motor or exhaust fan continues to run for hours. Toyostive laser 56MH thanks Jim...

Sir,

If there was a flame in the burner and no circulating fan running the stove would over heat in less than 5 minutes. It would show an EE 6 message. Are you sure there is a flame in the pot? The stove does have a safety feature that allows the combustion fan and circulating fan to run continuously in certain cases. This is a rather extreme case. In any event the circulating fan would be running at the same time the combustion fan was on. To get out of that mode turn the stove off and on again. Now you should be able to restart normally. Keep us posted,

Thanks,

Tom

My upper radiater hose blew n engine over heated. I installed a new hose n replaced fluids. engine overheated again. did not blow though

check the serpentine belt for slipping, the clutch fan, the thermostat(might be stuck closed) or maybe it is a circulation issue, you can check the radiator and radiator cap for defects and sediment buildup.
you might be able to confirm circulation problem if you turn heat on and it doesn't overheat.

How does heater work to keep freeze off pool in winter

What state do you live in, what is the brand name and model number of the heater. If you live in a state that gets cold during the winter, call you local pool store and schedule a closing. If the pump is running and water is not circulating, most likely the pump lost prime or your filter needs to be backwashed, or there is some debris in the impeller.
