Question about Samsung LE40R73BD 40 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
Turned the TV on this morning via the remote and nothing happened. Except now the TV is making a clicking noise that only goes away after the power strip is turned off. Any ideas why this happened and what may be the problem?
I know exactly what the problem is. If you feel competent to do so..remove the back of the tv with the power disconnected for your safety. On the power board located in the centre you will see capacitors on the right of the board that have bulging tops..There are usually 4 of them that bulge (go faulty) like this..The value of each of these should be 1000uF..Replace these by buying from Maplins Electronics or CPC, both online..Solder new ones in (takes 10 mins) and all will be ok..
