Lights flashing 7 times

Never heard of 7 flasjhes.

Five flashes = No Print Head Installed. Install or re-install.

Eight flashes = Waste ink absorber* almost full. The printer has a built-in waste ink absorber to hold the ink consumed during Print
Head cleaning. Eight flashes indicates that this absorber is nearly full.
Press the R R ESUME/CANCEL button to clear the error so printing can continue for a while.
A longer term RESET IS possible BUT without changing the blotters, you're exposed to ink eventually running out of the printer without warning but... if you still want to continue, here are the reset instructions. Good luck!
1) With the printer powered off, hold down the resume button and press the power button.
2) While holding down the power button, release the resume button and press the resume button twice in succession. Now release the power button. The indicator will blink in green and remain lit in green.
Now press the resume button 4 times and then the power button. You've just reset the waste ink counter. Good luck. Just hope it doesn't come back to bite you!

Reset drum counter

I found this solution online for you:

Shut off the printer.

  • 2 Hold down the "Continue" button while opening the front door. Then turn on the printer.
  • 3 Keep the Continue button held down until only the "Error LED" is on then release the button. Close the door.
  • 4 The Continue button, Ready/Data, Toner Low, and Load Paper LEDs should all be lit up.
  • 5 Press "Cancel" a few times to cycle through the LEDs until just the "Toner Low LED" is lit.
  • 6 Press and hold the "Continue" button until the LEDs cycle through and release only when the LED stops at Toner Low.
  • 7 Turn the printer off and back on.

I have a Cannon i560 printer and the light on printer flashes five times orange then flashes green, what is the problem and how can I fix it.

5 flashes indicates a faulty printhead or possibly a problem with the p/head contacts. Try removing the head which is easier if you take the cartridges out first(no tools required) and re-seat it having checked the contacts for dirt.

If that doesn't work it may be that the waste ink tank is full. Try this ...

    Canon S9000, S300, S400, i550, i560, i850, i860, i865, i9100, i9950, PIXMA iP3000 above,
    1. Turn off printer
    2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
    3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
    4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
    5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
    6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
    7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
    8. Your printer should respond as normal.

I need to know how to reset my printer, I 've cleaned the pads, but nothing... Thank you in advance...

Power down the Canon Pixma IP4300. Once it has shut down, leave it off for a few moments.
Hold down both the "Resume" button and the "Power Button." When the printer begins to restart, release the "Resume" button but continue pressing "Power."
Push in the "Resume" button twice, then let go of both the buttons. In a moment, a green light flashes a few times.
Press the "Resume" button four times once the green flashing has finished.
Push the "Power" button again until the printer shuts down. Wait a few seconds, then press the power button again to restart the device. The Canon Pixma IP4300 will now function properly. for more information http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/67824 hope this helps you.

The resume button was continually flashing and would not print. After turning on and off several times, checking ink and making sure the lid on printer was down, the flashing stopped but still won't print,...

On that machine the resume button flashes a certain number of times and then the green power light flashes, you need to count the flashes inbetween the green flashes to know what the problem is. That count tells a repair shop what is wrong.

Turn off the power using the switch on the back of the printer. Open the front door of the printer. Hold Continue button down, power on the printer, and continue to holding Continue down until the LEDs begin to flash. When the LEDs start to flash, release Continue button. The LEDs will continue flashing until only Error LED will be lit. Close the front door. Continue, Ready/Data, Toner Low and Load Paper LEDs should be lit.
