Question about Washing Machines
I have a second hand Hoover Performa eco1200 washer dryer. there is an outlet pipe attached but no incoming water hoses. In addition the kitchen sink only has one connection to send water in. Question 1 Are hot & cold inlet pipes all standard, if not, what do I need?
Question 2. Can I buy a Y-piece to connect the appliance hot and cold pipes to a single sink outlet.
Question 3. Will I get both hot & cold water going through the Y-piece?
Question 4. As it is a flat should I assume the outlet pipe on the appliance will have to go into the sink to take any waste away?
1 yes all standard.2 Yes you can get a Y piece. 3 no you will only use water from cold. But you can solve that by going to a good hardware store or B.Q and gettein a self cutting tap for washing machines. You can fit this in just minutes, and do not even need to turn off the water supply. just make sure there is a clean straight piece of pipe to fit it to. 4 yes fit waste pipe to u bend under sink.
