MY SOUND PLAYBACK, SOUND RECORDING, MIDI MUSIC PLAYBACK, VOICE PLAYBACK AND VOICE RECORDING HAS ALL BEEN DEFAULTED

Back up your files to a seperate disk and restore your computer to a previous state when with a date of when the sound used to work. If it doesnt solve the problem, look for sound drivers of your sound device and reinstall it. Here is how to restore the machine: Requirements: Your computer must be on, booted up and running,Pad and pencil to make notes about restore date. Method:Click on Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, select System Tools, click on System Restore. The next screen is a Welcome to System Restore. Here you will make the choice of the task that you want to perform. Select "Restore my computer to and earlier time". Good idea to click on help at the upper right hand corner. Print and save these instructions as you will need the information in the next few minutes. The next screen that pops up is of a chart showing choices of restore point dates. Select your desired restore point date and click on "next".The next screen is a confirmation to make sure that this is what you want to do. Follow the instructions.Click "next" and your computer will start restoring itself. When complete your computer will be working the way it was a few days ago. If your have problems there is plenty of help screens if you need to undo it

Exployer 8 download crashed my intel asus p4pe with windows xp . I cant boot up. I get the voice welcome, then when it should boot up, it clicks and starts over. Never ending loop.

Hello,

I would recommend booting your pc to Safe Mode and restoring your system back to a date BEFORE the crash happened. When you power on your pc, press F10 or F8 until you hear a beep. This will bring up a command function for you to select what you would like to boot to . Choose Safe Mode.

Good Luck

Hi, not sure exactly what you are describing here; you are I believe using dual operating systems? There does seem to be a conflick, causing niether operating sytems to bootup correctly. I will give you the procedure to delete and install one operating system, if this is not what you wish, can you come back to me?
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} To install new version of XP. Insert XP CD into drive, reboot pc pressing ESC button, or delete in some machines. This takes you into BIOS, change your primary boot device to CDrom, save changes and reboot. Select boot from CD once this appears and wait for files to be installed. Select the part of the hard drive you wish to use for your operating system (usually the largest) and select partition this drive. Delete any previous os, and reformat hard drive. (Be aware this removes everything saved on your hard drive, so always back up first) Re boot afterwards and reinstall of operating system will commence automatically (do not select boot from CD here).
