If I understand your question properly, all you need to do is remove one low pressure plug from the first stage regulator, then screw the hose end in from the new octopus.

My octopus leaks from the head (not the hose). Could it be an internal problem?

A rebuild or simple adjustment can make it stop leaking if it is coming out of mouth piece if it is leaking from anywhere but mouthpiece or hose connection it needs service.

• Check if water strainers on solenoid valve assembly are clogged.
• Check for obstructions inside inlet water hoses.
• Ensure solenoid valves do not leak when the valves are de-energized and the washer is powered down. • Measure coil resistance for both valves; if outside range (1000-1250 ohms at room temp.), replace solenoid valve
assembly.
IF ABOVE STEPS DO NOT CLEAR THE PROBLEM, OR FOR ERROR CODE 23:
• Replace solenoid valve assembly.
------------------------------------------------------------------
30, 31 Drain problems
• Ensure pump strainer is clean and free of debris.
• Check for obstruction inside the drain hose.
• Check pump impeller blades and bearing; if evidence of blade damage or seized bearings are present, replace the pump.
• Check electrical connections at the pump motor and harness.
• Measure pump motor resistance; if outside range (9-14 ohms at room temp.), replace the pump.
------------------------------------------------------------------
38,39 Dispenser problems
• Check for obstruction in dispenser mechanism and linkages.
• Check electrical connections at dispenser motor feedback switch and in the harness.
IF ABOVE STEPS DO NOT CLEAR THE PROBLEM:

My whirlpool duet washer fills with water when not in use. How do I replace the water valve...is this the best solution?

Yes, replacing the valve assembly is the best solution to your problem. You should do it as soon as possible to avoid a flooding condition. It's pretty easy... the valve assembly is a single component that can be easy removed / replaced using simple tools. Here's how:

1. UNPLUG THE WASHING MACHINE AND TURN OFF BOTH OF YOUR WATER VALVES
2. Remove the top from the washer by removing the (3) screws from the rear face and pulling the top backward and slightly upward.
3. Unhook the electrical connections and hoses from the valve assembly
4. Remove the valve assembly by removing the (1-2) screws holding it in.
5. Buy a new valve assembly at your local appliance repair shop.
6. Reverse the removal instructions to assemble.

Good luck and happy washing!

Where is the egr valve on a 2005 dodge 1500 5.7L

The electronic EGR valve and solenoid assembly (3) is attached to the front of the right cylinder head (1). An exhaust gas routing tube connects the EGR valve to the intake manifold.

2efe0f8.gif

Disconnect electrical connector (1) from EGR solenoid (2). Remove two bolts (3) connecting EGR tube (4) to valve assembly. Remove gasket located between EGR tube flange and EGR valve assembly.

Remove two mounting bolts (2). Separate valve assembly (3) from cylinder head (1). Remove and discard metal gasket located between cylinder head and valve assembly.
The new EGR valve will come with a new metal gasket. You can reuse the smaller gasket for the metal pipe going to the egr valve as long as its not damaged.

Saeco incanto rapid steam leaking from under

The leak is most likely from the steam valve, you will have to either buy and replace the o-rings and the pistons in the valve or just buy a new valve assembly and replace it. Easiest solution get the new valve assembly.

What side does the octopus go on? left or right?

The reason to have it on the right is because that is "standard". I dive with a long hose (7') and an octo around my neck on a 22" hose. So long as you explain it to anybody you dive with and talk about your plan for air sharing in advance, it shouldn't be an issue.
