You are very lucky that you know the date the problem started. This will make it easier to find out what caused this slowness. I'd suggest you go and check your firewall reports up to yesterday's date to find anything strange and run a malware scan. Slowness can indicate spywares that utilize your system and grind the hard disk for the information it is programed to collect. Also check if there were any other installations that took place yesterday which may have corrupted the system or is incompatible with the system. If my suggestions work, please do rate me. Thanks

Please follow these and do it with your notebook,

1. Open Inter Explorer.
2. click Tools.
3. Click Internet Option.
4. Delete Temporary files, cookies, History.
5. Restart you Internet Explorer.
Hope you find good speed again. If your net connection have problem from the provider then you have to contact with them. Another reason is virus. May be your computer infected by Virus. Please scan by updated antivirus.
Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

Internet barely works

Step 1:
Most of the programs running in the background of your computer start automatically during PC reboot. These applications were added to the Windows startup menu during default installation. However, you probably do not need all of the programs that are currently running on your computer all the time. This only slows down your PC and the reboot time. Fortunately, you can access the Windows startup menu and remove the programs you do not need to have running automatically. Turning off the programs shuts them down until you enable them again through the "Start" menu.

Go to the "Start" menu, type "msconfig" in the "Start Search" box and press "Enter" to start the System Configuration utility. Click the "Startup" tab in the System Configuration window. Uncheck the programs that you want to turn off and stop from running in the background. Click "Apply" and "OK" to save the new settings. Restart your computer.

My acer netbook was working fine with connecting to the internet, until last week - no stating no connectivity. Tried to reset system, but still not working - also very slow

You might've hit the button that turns off wifi. Check to see if you did that.
Also for slowness. Download malwarebytes (google it, its free) and ccleaner. Run both of those and cleanup your system. That should make a difference.

Hp 530 intel cerelon M is extreemly slow and the battery does not charge. it is running on vista home basic

hi if you can check this website out it shows how to stop unwanted processes on your vista system, this has helped me in the past and speedsa vista up to xp standards. if it is being used in a work enviroment you will need some of the processes and this should be done one at a time and tested on what you would normally do. also if you check your anti spam and antivirus for bots and such that sit idle till needed but take up vital processing power. hope this helps?

My computer is running very slow, what do i need to do to fix this

try clearing your cookies and temp internet files. open up a explorer session, go to tools internet options. under the general tab you should see
browsing history click delete. New menu comes up make sure temp internet files and cookies are checked off click delete wait until finished then click ok ok close explore restart new session. Do you have enough memory in your computer? That could be slowing it down also.
