Check if your pci cards and memory sticks are all the way in.

Also check (if you have a video card) if its sitting correctly.

What i would do is remove and reinstall all your pci cards one at a time.

New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I have a constant beeb beeb ----beeb beeb---beeb beeb from my speakers or headphones but not from the computer tower when the speakers or headphones are removed. Is this a audio problem with PC or a virus?

Hi there
A couple of points.
Many system boxes no longer have built in speakers, and if they do they are very simple and simply used for POST errors and other alarms eg CPU fan failed, overheating etc. If there is a pattern to the beeps, you need to check against your BIOS codes to ensure nothing serious is happening.
If your system is working completely normally otherwise, then I would suspect an audio problem, which might be resolved by removing and re-installing the audio driver from the disk supplied.
Cheers

Always shutdown"CPU Shutdown Temperature

Hello download a manual here:

http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Downloads/Downloads_Driver_Detail.aspx?MenuID=61&LanID=0&detailid=1093

Check the bios for any cpu overclocking settings
and set it back to standard settings.
Renew also the thermal cooling paste between the cpu and the cooling fan.
See if the cpu fan is running when the pc starts.

Be VERY carefull when you remove the cpu cooling fan
and take care not to damage the cpu.
And take antistatic precautions when you work on the mainboard.

If you have not tryed this before let a expert do the job.

Hope this will help you

Dell PE 1800 showed one SCSI 73G non critical state on a RAID 5 array of 3 disks. Shutdown the server, removed the SCSI disk and booted, server booted but continous beep sound, trying to rebuild the array...

Hi, try to renew the drivers and firmware from here:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd&ServiceTag=&SystemID=PWE_1800&os=WNET&osl=en&catid=&impid=

Continuous beep related to ram ,try to remove ram and insert it, and if u still get beep change your ram.

Continious beeb sound is ram or cpu failure. Is the cpu fan spinning ??
If not the cpu is over heating.
Try to remove the ram modules and clean the contact points
with a piece of paper. Be very carefull when you do that !!!!!
And blow the dust out of your server, with a high pressure can.

Hope this was helpfull.

I have a custom built computer w/ xp pro. my computer shuts its self off. why? sometimes it will do it 4-5 x a day, then there are days it won't do it at all. any suggestions?

Automatic shutdown can be due to mostly over-heating of the CPU or CPU fan not working properly. Blow the CPU areas plus the CPU fan with an Air-blower and check if the CPU fan is working properly or not. If the CPU fan is malfunctioning then replace it. Your system will work fine.

Make sure your system is free from virus and worms as it too can be the cause of  system shutdown (but this cases are very very rare).

That's it.

Monitor keeps shutting off

it is a "CPU THERMAL SHUTDOWN"

Make sure the CPU fan is working. If there are any other fans on the motherboard, make sure they are working.
Make sure the case fan(s) are working and that there is no obstruction to the airflow into and out of the case.
Your CPU fan may be broken and you will need to buy another one.
