Question about Sun StorEdge L25 (SG-XLIBL25D-BASE) DLT Tape Drive
I am working on a Sun Storedge 3320 raid that was in storage for about two years and nobody remembers or recorded the firmware password for. We are trying to revive the raid and put it back into service but so far are unable to get around the firmware password. Originally we were trying to remap the luns on a set of hard drives that we hope to preserve the data on. Now we are working with a spare set of drives that we can freely overwrite or reformat. Is there a jumper setting like those on Windows based system mother boards that we could use to bypass the firmware password? (The StorEdge L25 below was the closest product available on the listed products. This is not a tape drive, rather a 12 disk raid.)

You shouldn't have too much trouble, they are a bit old hat but you should be able to get one from most PC shops/repair shops, some electrical retailers but I'd try ebay for the cheapest option.
Here's a male to male version on ebay:-
Just ensure what terminals you need at each end of the cable, there are various choices.
