Question about Acer AL1916B 19" LCD Monitor
Well my ACER AL1916B LCD monitor stopped working with a 'bang' the other day. Opened her up to see some bulging caps and also the transistor that blew up on the power board causing the loud bang I heard. Quite a sight.
I'm going to try to fix this DIY style, but because the transistor has been blasted apart I can't see the model number I need to order. Can anyone help?
The transistor is at U101 up against the straight heat sink. The power board is FSP043-2PI01.
Thanks if you can help out.
The MOSFET that blew up will more likely to have the switch mode driver IC that went out with it also, you need to verify that the IC is good otherwise you will blow up the new MOSFET, you may be better off buying a new board from here: http://www.discount-merchant.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=1160140&Click=54985
By the time you order the new MOSFET and other parts it may end up more han $35, just a suggestion.
