Common problem unfortunately. That's you need a new inverter board. You can have it repaired or if you are savvy enough you can replace the inverter yourself. The inverter board costs about $150 at lcdparts.net
Good luck!

Power supply is shot ..need a new one and the repair place said they can't order one. Olevia Model LT30HV

Does it have a lot of bad capacitors (bulging top)? Do you have the picture of the power supply? Two most common parts that go bad in the LCD TV are the power supply and the Backlight Inverter board.

My picture goes blank

One of two things, the backlight inverter board is going bad (usually has open winding on the transformers), second, the 24vdc power supply section of the main power supply module is bad due to bad filter capacitors.

My syntax Olevia LT30 HV turned on and displayed blue screen for 1-3 sec and than no signal nosound??any advice seems to be inverter issue.

Since you lost both sound and picture, I would suggest to take a look at the power supply for bad filter capacitors, look for bulging on the top of capacitors. If the backlight inverter board is bad you should still get the sound.

you have a broken inverter board. I have a LT30HV, and it had the same problem. The inverter board supplies power to the backlight. Swap it out with a good one, and you're back in business.

To test, take a bright flashlight and point it at the screen just an inch or so off the surface. If you can see your picture, then you have a blown inverter.

it may not be worth fixing it. Wait for a good sale on a new one. My inverter cost about 150, and it was a remanufactured part. Not as good as the original part as it flickers just a tad. I had to take the entire TV apart, with pieces literally everywhere. My cats loved it.
