Question about EuroTech EWC177 Front Load Washer / Dryer

Open Question

For the Eurotech EWC177 Combination Washer/Dryer there is no true lint filter. The lint accumulates in the clothes. And this results in lint balls througout the clothes when they are dry. Cleaning the "coin trap" after every load does not solve the problem because the slots in the coin trap are too large and do not catch much of the lint. Would a finer mesh screen - say a section if stainless steel window screen - secured onto the flat area of the coin trap to trap the lint create too much back pressure against the pumps and result in too large of a pressure drop for the pumps, especially if the finer mesh lint screen got loaded up with a lot of lint?

Same problem here and mines brand new. Seems the dryer consists of only a heating element. There's no circulation of dry air. You may as well hang your clothes inside a steam room.

SOURCE: EuroTech EWC177 washer/dryer combo reset

tinaheinleHello
Welcome to fixya.
I'm Huuum and happy to assist you,

You said, ..well this is a solution.....
my roommate unplugged the machine while it was drying. the start and spin lights were both flashing. I called the company and they told me to reset it, but the weren't sure how, lol.
I unplugged it and waiting, nothing. I flipped the breaker, nothing. I finally turned it to a setting, and turned on nob on the dry, and it started clicking.
I turned off the dry, and hit the start button, and it started right up...

If the next time you use it and it's fine then you did succeed in resetting the system and will be alright!
Let me know that we were successful!

Please remember to leave a rating before you go!
Thank you

SOURCE: Eurotech front loading washer, noisy on spin cycle with load.

My eurotech washer has an inner and outer stainless steel drum. The inner drum is supported in the back by cast aluminum supports. (like many other models). The cast aluminum carodes and weakens and breaks. You may find pices of this in the strainer. Not hard to replace and not expensive but very difficult to get the part. Eurotech has been out of the part for months.

Unplug the power. At the back are several circuit breakers. make sure they all have continuity. They only open in the event of overload, thermal or electrical. After that they are suppose to clickback to normal. If all of them tested ok, check the continuity of the heating element. You may see a break in the nichrome wire coil, thats the heating element.

My machine does not dry properly, very little heat is being delivered to the clothes consequently I am having to hang them to dry. Inez W.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
I would suspect that the dryer's heater element is malfunctioning. This would require an engineer visit I fear ;-0(
Sorry,
Good luck, John C

Water does not drain from the machine

The only way for water to be exhausted from the Eurotech washer unit is for the water pump to function correctly. Check for operation of the water pump which can be heard with a faint hum during the water exhaust cycle. Also check to see if the drain port is blocked etc eg with a childs sock. To check for this open the lint filterdoor, remove the lint filter and using an inspection mirror look around paying attention to the 2 ports inside the filter cavity. If filter ports are clear then suspect the water pump. If you can hear the water pump working but the water is not exiting your washer then it is likely the 4 prong impeller inside the water pump has sheered off its shaft within the pump. Change pump and this should solve your problem.

Dryer Filter

This is true of all models the lint screen cant be made to tightly woven if it was it would block the airflow too much making the dryer to take forever to dry the clothes.
