1st of all i want to say, the buffalo company's products is very lousy,
okay ,

power on ur router or modem and fully connect and, find reset button on the modem and press by a needle or pin press and hold until all lights restart when all light off and blink remove pin and wait when all lights stable u have to configure ur router, from step1 because now ur modem is factory resetted.

The WHR-G54S has a default LAN IP address of 192.168.11.1
and Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0.
Make sure your computer has an IP address in this range 192.168.11. x
Open your browser
type http://192.168.11.1
you will enter the web interface of the router
root is the username and no password is needed.
Configure your router.

The default name suggestions that no additional configurations have been done on the device out of the box. The default login should be "root" with no password. If this fails, see the source for information on resetting the device to factory defaults.

You do not need a CD to configure the router. Simply, hook up the router to your modem, and make sure a computer you will use to configure it is plugged into the router.

Once everything is turned on, you can simple go to the router homepage by typing in your gateway ip address in your internet browser(like going to a website).

Usually, the gateway IP address is 192.168.1.1

Once you type this in the internet browser, it should take you to the configuration page.

The AOSS button as for as I know is only on the Buffalo brand routers

Some wireless routers have a pinhole reset button on the back of the router. If so, use a sharp point to press and hold this button until the LED lights flash, then release the reset button. The router should be restored back to the factory defaults.
You can then open IE browser and type in the configuration IP address of the router to configure the wireless settings, you most likely need to connect a LAN cable from the computer to the router, configure the wireless settings (ie SSID, encryption etc) take a note of these settings and configure the wireless card on the computer with these settings. Then the computer can communicate with the router without using a LAN cable.

Try to reset the router using a paper clip, then try to re-log in to the router with the IP address, If you are still unable to log in , try log as admin as the username and password as admin or admin on the username and password is password.
