Question about HP Pavilion zd8000 Notebook
Hello, i have an hp pavillion laptop zt3000. I have a trojan horse on my computer and i keep gettng so many pop ups that my computer warns me its about to crash an freezes. Also my adminastration abiltlites are denied. None of my usb ports seem to be working any more either. I dont have the money to buy another cpu, do i need to reboot and if so how?
You could try installing www.spybot.com although this may not be possible without admin rights (you wont have permission to install the app)
The other thing you could do is boot in safemode (F8 at the start) and see can you install it now.
If its XP you could try do a system restore back to a point when your laptop was working. Then install spybot
Finally you could make a dos virus scan disk from your antivirus ofware and let it scan windows and your drive before the trojan is started.
It can be tricky to remove, but if you tell me the name of the trojan there maybe an application/utilitie to remove that specific virus.
Hope this helps!
