Perform a "hard reset".

when your BB is on, pop out the battery and leave it out for about 30 seconds, put it back to your BB, your BB should reboot. then check

Please I forgot M????????? blackberry password, how can I. Get it back! Pls help

Dear Ella,

Unfortunately you will have to get the BB wiped off by entering the wrong password 10 times. Then it will ask you to enter the word "blackberry" and it will restore the device to factory settings wherein you will lose all your messages and contacts. Assuming you've a backup of your data you can restore it to the phone thru Desktop software or incase you do not have a backup I would advise you to kindly keep backing up your phone in future to avoid such data loss.

Feel free to revert back for any other assistance

Regards

This is due to a glitch in the Operating System (phone software)Go to options, Security, Security wipe: Type the word blackberry and click wipe data. You blackberry will be restored to factory settings, meaning the software will be free of bugs. You will then have reinstall your programs again so go to the BB App world and select uninstalled software to see what software you need to reinstall again. Enjoy

I am not able to receive calls the next day after charging my Blackberry 9530 storm, then i have to remove the battery and put it back again to receive calls. Any permanent solution for it?

Yes, there is a solution and I hope this also works for you. My 9550 would freeze and I couldn't answer a call, or it will just freeze on it's own at least once or twice a day. I also had to remove the battery then replace it and it will be fine again. After emailing the store where I bought the phone. One of the solutions was to wipe the memory as stated here. (To try to "wipe handheld":
1. In the device Options, click Security.
If you are using BlackBerry Device Software 4.1, click Security Options > General Security.
2. Click the trackwheel and select Wipe Handheld.
3. Click Continue.
4. Type blackberry and All the data on the BlackBerry device is erased.)
Then restart the phone and it should work.
Better yet. If you have the BlackBerry Desktop Software Application on your computer. If you don't go here https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=A2C0D61EB187AB3AFD247A852FAD3647 It's a 114mb file. Connect your BB with your data usb cable. Then back up the phone and do a software update (Which is what I did). The software will back up your data, then wipe your BB clean. Then it reinstalls the software. The process takes between 30 minutes to one hour to complete. You should be ok after the update. My BB 9550 works fine now since the update four days ago. No more issues.

Does the recovery feature totally wipe out all saved files and pictures?

As a rule, system recoveries usually bring a PC or laptop back to the factory install, effectively erasing all new data created and stored since its purchase. I would suggest backing up your current files before running the system recovery if it is an option.

Will re-setting bb bold to factory settings delete my downloads?

Yes sir! A "Hard Reset" will COMPLETELY reset the all interface back to factory default.

If you use the Blackberry Desktop Software you can easily, back all your data first, then initially "hard reset" the device. After you have performed the necessary steps you can restore all your data.

Hope this helps!

No message services configured after wipe and reset

sounds like you need to set up the WaP settings this and address they use so that email and texting can be used
on your phone and most black berry BB use the same wap
for your BB you set the WaP threw security with the tech of your service provider they will give you info on that to set it up

now for the BB there is a setting if you already have the services it states in service provider if you did not set your service code by registering it with in 48 hours even after a wipe you will need to have a new code installed
