The home position switch from the angle of the front display is not pushed correctly. the problem is mechanical.
If you glue a little tip of plastic between the actuator and the homeposition switch, your problem is history.
In my case, a tip of a little tiewrap did it.

are you sure you have power going to the red wire? the red wire needs to be connected to a switched (ignition) power source. the radio will not work unless both the red and yellow wires are getting power.
once you have the station you want to listen to on the radio press and hold one of the buttons along the bottom of the stereos face for a few seconds the screen should flash for a second or two or it should beep as well to indicate its saved it.
if when you turn the ignition off and then turn it back on the stereo has forgotten the station you programmed you need to remove the stereo from the car and check the wiring at the back of the unit. most of them have a red and yellow wire that are joined by metal push fit connectors, swap these two over and it will then remember the station for you.
the red wire is the switched power lead from the ignition and the yellow lead is a constant live feed for it to remember your settings, if these are round the wrong way it will keep forgetting radio stations you program until you switch them over.
HAVE YOU REPLACED UNIT? IF YOU HAVE THEN IT COULD BE THE SWITCHED / CONSTENT FEED BEING AROUND THE WRONG WAY, YOU CAN TEST TO SEE IF YOU HAVE A CONSTENT FEED WITH IGNITION OFF ON ONE OF THESE, AND A FEED ON THE OTHER YOU TURN IGNITION ON, THE THESE ARE NORMALLY RED AND YELLOW SWAP THEM ROUND, GROUND/EARTH IS BLACK, FUSE N HEAD UNIT NORMALLY BEHIND THE PLUG THAT FITS IN THE HEAD UNIT
if you have the wire connector it's easy.....give the negative conection to the body of the player..find the wire from the battery with has the power supply even when the switch is off..and connect it to the yellow wire.that is for the memory...find the wire which has the power when the switch is on ,and connect it to the red wire from the player....what i mean by switch is the ignition switch... u can easily find the speaker connections...most speaker wires comes as blue,ash,green,white...there are two wires from each colour......

I have worked on many of these radios and there is a lever that contacts switch to determine position of face this lever wears out and switch does not operate properly causing radio to lose its mind. This is usually the cause of this failure unless flip gears have been damged somehow. contact firstname.lastname@example.org for additional info
