Check to make sure the thermostat behind the cooling element is not touching. If it is place some foam between them.

The drain keeps stopping up

Since there is no description of what type of freezer, I will talk generic. Most freezers have some sort of drain heater. Commercial walk-ins use them. 2 types: an insertion type that go inside the drain and another type that is wrapped around the outside of the drain and then wrapped with a foam type insulation call armaflex. hope this helps some.

Ice buildup in bottom of freezer--puddle of water on floor

this sounds like your freezer is operating properly, except that the drainage of the water when going through the defrosting mode is not draining properly, pooling on the bottom of the freezer and then freezing. Check the drainage hose for the defrost in the lower pan. I would remove everything, place in ice chest, let the unit completely thaw out and then inspect. I hope this is beneficial.

Fridge constantly leaks water. The freezer has no issues at all, but the bottom half is always covered in water/ice, I can't keep anything on the top shelf or it freezes, and of course all the drawers...

i haven't worked on a roper but i'm sure it's the same as any other machine, first tilt the machine back by raising the front legs so the doors close with a gentle push, then remove the freezer inside wall, melt out any ice and under the evap coil check the drain hole, pour hot water into the hole to make sure it's draining, usually if water is leaking into the fridge section it's a blocked drain.let me know what you find and i'll help you as much as i can

The drain hole in the freezer keeps freezing solid so ice accumulates on the bottom of the freezer. I have de-thawed it twice but it keeps happening, it is clear after I thaw it out

either it is slightly blocked or you could try putting a piece of metal wire on the bottom of the defrost heater to act as a heat sink to stop it from over icing.

The water is overflowing from the freezer onto refrig shelf

Yes, let the unit thaw out, and replace that thin wire. it's called a drain heater, it simply keeps the water from freezing before it gets out the drain.

Freezer drain is full of water and freezes up and water ends up getting on floor. How can it be unplugged?

Remove the food from the freezer and ice maker ( if equipped ) . Remove the screws from the back panel , and remove the panel . Use a hair dryer , starting in the middle , below the coils , and defrost until you see the drain hole . Use hot water to help thaw the drain hole . Once water flows down , use a small hose inserted into the hole , and blow thru , to remove any debris accumulated in the drain line . Get a piece of ALUMINUM solid wire ( 14 - 16 guage ) about 9" long , completely stripped of insulation , and insert it into the hole as far as possible ( without force ) . Wrap the other end , about 1-2 turns around the black rod ( defrost heater ) just above the hole . When the refrig goes into defrost , the heat will transfer to the wire , keeping the drain hole from freezing up again .

MY GE PROFILE REFRIGERATOR IS WARM, FREEZER IS FINE.

i think its not the frz drain hole blocking up but a fault with the defrost tray heater. the tray heater should keep the defrosted frost as water to drain away. it sounds as though the tray heater is not working therefore letting the water freeze as it is escaping thorough the drain hole. i would check this out by defrosting the unit and inserting a flexi rod into the otherside of the drain hole (above the compressor usually) and after clearing it if it freezes up again check out the defrost/heater system.
