I have a Nokia N95 and have recently installed a KCA-BT100 in my vehicle. The system works just fine but I can't transfer of syncronise my contacts on the phone to the KCA-BT100. I have tried all the options in the phone's manual without success. Please Help!!!
Yeah, this sucks, but a guy at Car Toys said that the Kenwood's are notoriously difficult when it come to the Bluetooth... through your phone, you have to disconnect from the BT100, but keep your Bluetooth "on", and then send each contact one by one. Talk about pain in the ___, but that works.
Now, my problem is that the address book comes and goes; sometimes it's available, sometimes not.

Same problem here. Save the contacts individually on the cell phone like this.
Smith/W, John 205-555-1212
Smith/H, John 205-555-1213
Smith/M, John 205-555-1214
They when you see John Smith/M on your screen, you know it is John's mobile number.
Have you tried removing the old Q from the KCA-BT100? You can do this from the Phone - Setup menu and delete the old unit. While you are there delete any other ones you see as well.
Then, on your phone, search for Bluetooth devices, you should have the KCA-BT100 show up. Pair to it, the passkey to pair is 1234 and select it on your phone to be a handsfree service/device if there is an option to do so.
This should resolve your problem, any time that you change a function on the headunit it should check with the phone that it is still there.
Unfortunately, you must have a compatible phone. The LG Shine U970 is not on the list. Bluetooth is not as standard as we would all like. See the outdated compatiblity list at http://www.kenwood.com/bt/bt100/
Well... I'm sure mine worked ONCE!
I have the BT100 and KDC-W7534U. It worked fine with my Nokia N80 but with my Nokia N95 It connects fine but i cant hear or be heard when the call is answered.Interestingly I cannot use the headunit to dial a number anymore.
If i was to be on a call BEFORE connecting the headunit then it works. But once the call ends and i select an input source - the phone has the same symtoms as above again.
I have checked all the profile settings and set the enhancment to be active on the active profile.
I thought Bluetooth was a standard and it was just meant to work if it was bluetooth compliant! ...Grrrrrr!
