Question about Frigidaire FGQB4000F Dryer

Open Question

We purchased the fgqb4000fs dryer and ftfb4000fs

We purchased the Frigidaire fgqb4000fs dryer and ftfb4000fs washer about 2 years ago. Within a couple months the front control panels were splitting and cracking along the top. I finally decided to get online and get the replacement parts myself. I received the control panels but upon closer reviewI don't see an easy way to remove and replace. Is there something you can send me or link me to? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

1. Gas valve coilsIgniter glows, then shuts off without igniting gas - the problem is probably with defective coils (black, located on top of the gas valve). It is recommended to replace all coils (usually two or three) if found defective.

Note: Sometimes the whole gas valve may be defective, thus not letting the gas out. However, this problem is not common.

2. Thermal fuse
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

Note: It is recommended by most dryer manufacturers to replace a hi-limit thermostat when replacing a thermal fuse.

3. Igniter
Igniter may burn out or break. Replace the igniter if found defective.

Note: Igniters are very fragile and break easily. It is recommended to handle the igniter only touching the ceramic part of it (usually white in color).

4. Flame sensor (or radiant heat sensor)
Replace the sensor (located near the igniter) if found defective.

Frigidaire washer recall

You should contact the company. My washer had a part recalled, which was causing it to throw error codes our all the time. Luckily it was still within the warranty so a replacement part was sent right away. Good luck

Fault code f-01

The "F-1" error code means a failure occurred with the electronic controls.. This could mean that wires are broken, the electronics shorted out or a manufacturer's default error shut the washer down.

Prevention/Solution: The electronic control panel needs replacement. Find your dryer serial number and search for the part online.

This is a lengthy job that usually requires a repairman unless you have dealt with and repaired dryers before. If your dryer was purchased within the past couple of years, the dryer could be covered under the warranty.

Hope this helps (remember to rate this free answer).

Hello, I have a frigidaire washer. I loaded it up and started it - the water went in. But after that, it just stopped. I tried it again, tried different cycles, still doesn,t work. The Start light is...

Well I'm not an expert but I have had problems in the past but it was with my top loader washer. Sounds like it could be a number of things: could be the transmission, or could be a switch or an electrical problem (thats the problem with these new digital washers/dryers!). You will definitely have to call a technician unless you can get a manual and try to fix it yourself. Mine is a year old and I purchased some extra insurance for it, like a year or 2 worth when I bought my washer & dryer new. If your washer is less than a year old you can probably get the manufacturer to fix it for free! Good luck!

The glow is normal, but the sparking may indicate lint back in the heater element compartment, you can check your owners manual for trouble shooting tips.

No power is there a fuse in the dryer. The power is ok. Could it be the plug? It is at my summer home it is a stackable purchased about 3 years ago. I don't have the model. It was purchased at Lowes

There is a fuse in the dryer, its called a high limit sensor. If the dryer gets too hot the high limit blows like a fuse and saves your house.
Make double sure you have proper power at the outlet before you tear into the machine.
Good Luck

Washer stopped working with clothes and water in it

If you try to wash too many items with the water level set to low it is hard on the drive sysem and will kick out the motor.
When the motor resets it should work again but its very bad for the motor so II would try not to do it again.
Good Luck

Front Loading Washer won't drain

The problem is most likely change in the drain pump and sump area (rubber boot going from tub to pump). It is axcessed by removing the lower front panel. Disconnecting and reconnecting the hoses to the pump are real tricky!!!!!!!!!
