My chat quit working, I can't go into chat it won't pop up , please help

I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, MY FISHER DIGITAL TABLET 7.1 HAS FROZE ON THE INTRODUCTORY SCREEN, I HAVE TRIED THE HOLD VOLUME BUTTON DOWN+POWER BUTTON AND STILL DOES NOT WORK, I HAVE HELD THE POWER BUTTON, PLEASE HELP ME! I HAVE ONLY HAD IT 2 DAYS! :(

use a different browser. it may be the browser. if that doesn't work, then use live to chat on fb! it still will do that! or use tinychat!

Sounds like you may have a virus/trojan/worm/etc...

To remove a virus,trojan,worm,etc from your computer...do it the EASY way...let someone else do it for you.
Start your computer, as the computer is starting keep tapping the F8 Key.
This will start the computer in the Safe Mode.
Once in the safe mode go to the following webage below and download,install, and run Microsoft Safety Scanner for FREE.
Once you run the Microsoft Safety Scanner (it may take quite a while depending on the size of your hard drive) it will remove all the virus's,trojans,worms,etc it finds, if it does not completely remove them all you will be given a chance to chat with a Microsoft Professional thru a pop open window and he will take control of your computer (with your permission) and finish removing all the rest of the virus's, trojans, or worms that are on your computer for FREE!! Can't beat FREE!!

the problem is in your yahoo messenger options... or your yahoo messenger is not updated.

Once you've selected a Chat room, you'll be brought to the Chat room window where you'll see yourYahoo! IDlisted as well as the Messenger Chat Administrator. You won't see anyone else listed in the Chat room until you've passed the verification process. To do this you'll need to click the verificationlink given in the Chat room window. The "Chat Room Verification" window opens, where you can enter the word verification text (please note that this text is not case sensitive).

If you don't see the "Chat Room Verification" window load when clicking on the verification link, this is maybe because you currently have pop-up blocker software installed. To confirm that pop-up blocker software is interfering with loading of the "Chat Room Verification" page, please hold the Ctrlkey down while clicking the verification link and the new window should load. Now all you'll need to do is to enter the word verification text and click Submit

If still can;t go on chat room, i suggest you install and reinstall Yahoo Messenger again by clicking here http://messenger.yahoo.com/download/

Okay, so what you need to do is go to the chat menu, after you close it, and go to the options menu. Then there should be an option to have pop-up/pop-out Facebook chat. Turn it off.
