I have a Samsung DVD-VR 330 combo recorder that says "Safe"

I have a Samsung DVD-VR 330 combo recorder that shows ''SAFE'' in the view box when plugged in. I'm looking for a Users Manual that will help me diagnose whatever problem I might be experiencing.

The DVD recorder's display is reading "safe" because the buttons are locked. To unlock the unit press and hold the "Info" button on the remote control for five seconds. The words "safe" should disappear and then the buttons will be unlocked.
Here is a link to a model that is close to the number of yours

They do not have a manual for the model number you have provided but this one should work. Let me know if it works or if you have any other questions.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

You have to "Finalize" the disc before it will play on other units. Go to Disc Menu, Second choice listed(not in front of it right now) Selections to right will offer disc Finalize. Say YES.

I have a Samsung DVD -VR 357 combo unit and i can't record

I have the Samsung dvd-vr 357. I have had a couple problems with it but I called samsung and they walked me through fixing it each time. I don't know if you have tried this or not but that is my suggestion. The last problem I had was copying from vcr to dvd. I got audio but no video. Problem was it was on dvd when i started it, it should have been on vrc. It should be set on whichever one you are recording from. Hope this helps someone.

SCREEN SAYS "SAFE" ?DO IDO TO GET RID OF IT???????/

To remove "SAFE" from the front display, using the remote control, press and hold "INFO" for 5 seconds until it disappears. This was probably acitivated while you stopped a recording which can trigger it, of you may have activated "Safe" by pressing the INFO button several times. This is to prevent access of the recorder by locking all controls. This is for the DVD Recorder/VCR combo VR320 and the 1st generation DvD Recorder DVR-130.

Even though this was a product I regret purchasing, it isn't as bad a people make it out to be. It works best with DV cable recording from 1 Hour Mini-DV tape camcorders to 1 Hour XP Record DVD mode. It is probable one of the best. Only issue I have is when you try playing a finalized DVD-R disc in another DVD player, there is a chance it might not work because of the Highest quality 1 Hour record mode. Standard is 2 Hour SP. You will have to burn an exact copy using DVD copy software on your computer to DVD-R. This will fix the problem.

Samsung dvd recorder model vr-325

Ok I have been here before. The problem is your DVD burner in your DVD player unit may not be burning the disk in a format recognized by the Computer, or the laser may not have burned the disk to the set standard, and while it can play on that DVD player when you move it to a nother player it will not play. Well what we can do is Test the reverse first. Burn a DVD on your computer and try to play it on your DVD player and on the other TV. Then what I want you to do is to clean the lens of the player and try to burn a disk and play it on your computer. Let me know how this truns out.
