The right speakers logitech Z 5500 do not work

The right speakers of my logitech Z 5500 does not put out sound. the right speakers work fine when hooked up to the left side so i know the speakers work. the wires work fine because when i switched the wire on the back of the sub the right side worked. all speakers work when using test and the fuse looks fine. it is hooked up to a toshiba 32" hdtv through an optical cable. ive had them for over a year now and they have worked fine up until about a month ago.

Hey there,

The 3.5mm socket is the only thing you can plug into on a mac for speakers.

Have you checked to make sure that the system volume is turned up? Use the volume buttons on the mac keyboard to turn it up.

Let me know if this does or doesnt work and we'll try something else!

Good luck :)

Logitech Z-5500

Well you have some options, you can either live with 2 speakers and change the settings back to default. Im assuming the colors you have are orange black and green. black= the surround sound speakers. orange= center and subwoofer. green=right left front

Now if u want true surround sound then you need to buy a new card that had all the ports for your speakers.

Centre Speaker No Sound

i can think of two things., you may need to do the update on your sound card and computer and make sure you have the correct codec's installed or also you may need to go to the web site of the makers of your logitech speakers and see if they have a common solution for this problem...... i also wonder if you should bypass the sound card and directly connect your speaker system to the out put port on your computer ..... give it a try what can it hurt .... if all else fails maybe there is a faulty wire in the speaker system ....... ahy ?
