Troubleshooting for this is pretty straight forward.

  1. Try a different AC adapter (Borrow one if you can from another D-Series Dell, replace the adapter if you can't)
  2. If issue occurs with a new or known good AC adapter, then the motherboard will need replacement

Could i over charge my camera

Normally you don't over charge a battery, when it is charged for some extra hours. The electronics should stop the current. And when your computer is still working it should not have killed your camera. But be aware that as long as the camera is attached to a computer or a charger you can't switch it on.

Depending on how old your battery is and how it is used in the past, the battery could be gone. But it is not only to blame on the last charge cycle. Try measuring the voltage of the battery with a multi meter. The voltage should be a few tenths of a vat above the voltage printed in the battery.
I think your battery will be like 3,7 volt, and when charged the multi meter should read 4 volt. Anything below 3,7 volt means the battery is dead. (at least not fit for your camera)
It is better and safer to charge the battery on an external charger in the future.

Most chargers are 3 pin. Plus and minus charging voltage to the
batteries and a third pin monitors the actual battery voltage, so
that the automatic charger can turn itself off once the batteries
are fully charged. As Brad has mentioned, the connection
from the charger has to be made for the charger to produce
a voltage at those pins. The best way to see if it is charging
is to remove the seat and measure across both batteries..
assuming it's a 24volt system like most. Charging voltage
can be as high as 28volts across the positive of one 12volt
battery (connected in series to the other 12v battery) and the
negative of the other battery. You can monitor the charging
voltage across the batteries with a digital volt meter.

Charger wont chare batteries

Two reasons:
Either the battery has developed reverse polarity or is weak and so does not take up charge .
If so you can try and check voltage after charging and see if this dropping off on load. If so replace battery.
secondly the charger can be faulty and will not produce the current/voltage required for the battery to charge . If so check the circuit and rectify with a voltage check.

When you ride while lighting after two hours the motor bike engine stop

I think your charging system is not working. Check the voltage of the battery. Charge it until it reaches 14 volts or so remove charger, start engine and check voltage again. Must be around 14 volts when RPM is at 3ooo.
Can go from there. Troubleshooting is not too difficult.

You need to have the charger tested, if you know that batteries are good then what else could it be. This LIon charger has a logic circuit in it like a computer.

My dell inspiron 6000 wont charge but i dont think the battery is the problem. The powerlead also still has its light on so must be still working. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Could you check the output voltage of charger with multimeter? If you find output voltage then your charger is OK, Might be some problem with charging cirucit diagram of the laptop. If no output then replace your charger with new one having same specification.

Just remember to take your time and don't get nervous working on the computer. Please report back to the thread the results of your work.

Batteries won't hold a charge

Are the batteries really gettin a full charge or is your charger faulty. If you can borrow a voltage meter you can see what your battery is putting out and check the charger (plugged in) to test how much voltage it is putting out. If the Razor is 12 volt you can hook up a car/motorcycle charger to pump up those batteries. I don't think your batts are not holding a charge, i think they're not gettin a charge....good luck to you...Tim

Sounds like you both have a battery problem. I experienced a similar problem when trying to charge via the USB-cable connected to my computer.
Ended up buying an original charger (expensive) and the charging went smooth.
The car charger should in any case work fine, so probably your battery is not very healthy.

Try holding your finger on the battery symbol for about 10 sec. The unit will then switch to a technical page. There you can observe the battery and charging voltage. When I plug in my computer USB-cable, I read around 4,4V and that is not sufficient for charging my battery.
When connected to the original charger, this voltage rises to about 5V which gives a nice charge. When unplugging charger, the unit displays the battery capacity. If the charging voltage is OK, but battery capacity drops quickly after you unplug charger cable, the battery is probably bad. (Of course you have to charge is for some time) I think around 4V battery voltage give 100% capacity. 3,9V gives about 90% capacity.
This will not solve your problem, but can give you an idea about what is wrong.
Good luck.

Charging problem!!! PLEASE READ!

as i think that charger was not compatible to your phone so when you tried charging it the battery is dead bcoz of excess voltage than it normally bears with the compatible charger of ur phone ...
so this excess voltage has made the battery to be short circuited due to this may be the charging ic or the capacitor is gone ...
so i suggest you to take the cell to the near by technician and just have a check...

the only problem with all motorola phones is that it only charges with the charger with the desired voltage ... if the voltage of the charger is low then it will not show any response(i mean it will not charge but it will not cause any thing to battery as it is of less voltage than the desired voltage )
so i think the charger you buyed provides more than the desired voltage so the battery is dead .....

SPS1 charging system

Borrow a multimeter and check the voltage (and current if you can) going to the battery while the unit is turned off. It should still be charging the battery if it's still plugged into the wall socket. If it is not getting about 13 volts, it's not going to charge the battery. If that's the case, then there's something wrong with the transformer, or another part of the charging circuit. The downside is you can't use the unit without the battery being connected. If the unit still works and sounds good even though it's not charging the battery, then just put the battery on a separate charger every week or so.(I use the SPS1 for my computer and love it!) Good luck with it. H.
