Question about Westinghouse LTV-32w1 32 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
This sounds like a bad backlight power supply. The heat buildup in the TV case causes parts called capacitors to bulge and short out. This makes the power supply shut off. If you can solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself. Check out our web site at:
www.ccl-la.com/capacitors.htm this page explains what capacitors are and what they look like when they fail. Then open the back of your monitor and look for the bulging parts, replace all that you find and you should be back going again. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping. You can contact us thru our web site if you have any questions.
I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.
