you need to use a test light and find a wire that turns off when the key is off and a wire that is constant. the colors don't matter. but i would suggest using a wiring harnes from www.metra.com you can get them from best buy or any car stereo shop. this will save you time and make the install go a lot easier. all you do is wire it to the harness from the radio and then plug it in to the factory harness in the vehicle. piece of cake. might run you 15$
are the antenna wires touching? is it properly grounded to the chassis? is it shoved all the way into the back of the stereo? also this is a foreign car, does it have a stereo that's digital? American standard these days is digital, you could be picking up analog signal from police, emergency, or commercial that still use analog... its really hard to tell with this and very little information, also i know it probably has a small or large hole for the antena wire for the vehicle wiring in the back of the stereo, is the antenna wiring the correct size? ie, does it wiggle in the hole or is it of proper fit?
THE BEST THING TO DO FIND THE DEALER THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY BOUGHT FROM THEY WILL REQUIRE CHASSIS No REGISTRATION No AND PROBABLY ORIGINAL OWNER NAME etc THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU THE RESET CODE it may help to say Please and Thank you a lot
You shouldn't need a wiring diagram, your factory plug should still be in behind the aftermarket stereo harness, unplug the aftermarket harness and your factory plug plugs directly into the factory harness.... hope this helps..
i think you might have to go right to a gm dealer to have this one fixed, i wish i could help more but my cav already had the factory stereo removed by the time i got it, try checking all over the stereo for a reset button, you never know
