Question about Refrigerators
There are rubber isolation mounts under the compressor that get worn. What your hearing when the unit shuts off is the compressor shaking in the mount as the electricity to the run winding is shut off and the reverse torque twists the compressor in the mount to the point that it is hitting the mounting posts momentarily. Replacing the isolation mounts will stop the noise.
