Question about Panasonic PT-50LC14 50" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

Stained Screen The screen has a yellow stain on it, which began as a smaller circle and now covers almost the entire screen. When a picture is white, the color shows yellow. We've replaced the bulb and it didn't fix the problem.

I just made this repair for $10 (and a bunch of personal labor). you can buy the part for $220 or repair for free if you snarf a pair of 3D glasses as you leave a movie. some googling will find a thread describing the fix and even a guy selling pre-cut polarizers for $10.

QTV1,

I also have several yellow blobs on my TV (PT-50LC14). It is due to a burnt polarizer filter just past the blue filter for the blue chip. This TV is a three chip design with red, blue and green chips.
I am currently trying to get a new polarizer filter from Panasonic.

P.S. Do you want to sell an parts from your TV?

Need to take yellow stain out pf white nike airmaxes

Hi. Do you know what caused the stain? You might want to try a cotton swab with a little bit of a diluted bleach solution - put 1 part bleach to 10 parts water, mix, and then dip the cotton swab in it and gently apply to the stained area. It might take a bit of work to get it all out. I hope this helps.

My 2 year old sprayed kitchen cleaner over my plasma screen and it stained is there any thing i could do to restore it back ?

No, the screen or glass front is a part of the the entire display panel which costs as a part more than the set did when new.

The coating on the screen is photo chromic and anti glare in nature much like the coating on expensive camera lens.

I had a used one with similar damage and the only thing short of replacing the panel was we used very fine rubbing compound and carefully removed ALL the coating on the screen.

Picture was brighter but any glare from indirect light showed a loss of brightness.

Either live with it or replace the set. Most sets in the owner manual have warnings about what not to use when cleaning a screen.

Panasonic DLP TV has huge yellow blotch covering most of the screen

SET uses a optical light engine--lamp which is quite hot shines into the engine---blue is first to get the light and heat and is usually first area in the lens and baffles to get damaged(loss of blue leaves red and green which equal a yellow screen.

You have a damaged light engine.

How do we remove erasable white board marker from the apollo screen?

With Windex, just use a wet rag afterward to make sure the ammonia is not left behind. If the screen is stained that is a different issue as you will have to use a cleaner that actually removes some of the screen, but doesn't eat through it entirely.

The screen is scratched and stained- I would like

that is a good idea, but expensive.

if the screen is that bad, you may want to try with some commercial available polish for glass or plastic, like plast-x. you can get that in any auto parts store or your local walmart...

Clothes are being stained and ruined in our kenmore washer. there are brown stains covering our white clothes.

This is greasy rust. It's not uncommon. Whats causing it is a bad tub bearing. I rate replacing it a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the hardest.
