You get an iPod FM transmitter & connect it to your iPod and set to a free channel, press play on iPod. Then tune it in on your car stereo.

My ipod plays songs and i can hear the music but when i switch to radio there is no sound speakers do not work on radio..what is wrong????

Hi Fay
You need to clarify what you are saying....
Your iPod plays songs and you can hear music?
Where is sound coming from... Earphones?
How do you switch iPod to Radio....
Is there a cord connecting both together?
I would then suspect cord or connector type not matching up with radio input connector.
Connectors can be Sterio or Mono
Look at spacing on connector....
Earphone Adapter may help here

After Jobs unveiled the new iPod nano 5g at "Let's rock" this year, it was quite a big hit in 2009. The iPod nano has gone through five models, or generations, since its introduction. Will the sansa clip play through my car sterio fm station?

The Sansa itself won't, lacking an FM transmitter. You can buy such devices at just about any department store, however. Most of them draw power through the car's cigarette lighter, and some can even power/charge the Sansa. Make sure you get one that isn't exclusively designed for an iPod, as the power connector on the Sansa is not compatible with that on the iPod. The headphone jack is, of course, universal, and that's where the sound comes out.

My ipod headfone jack does not work in sterio

not quite sure what your problem is...

but if your ipod is functioning properly except the sound that you probably need the jack replaced...

its not real hard just by the jack off of ebay pop open the ipod and replace the part. There are several online guides on how to do this.
But if you are still uncomfortable opening your ipod look around for a pro to do it for you.
