Question about Televison & Video

Audiovox FPE3206 32 inch HD TV. After power is turned on the blue light illuminates but the picture screen flashes to the initial Audiovox display and then back off again. the sound also squaks with a power on/power off type sound. The system repeats this process and does not start the tv. I was able to trick it on a few times pressing the sound increase and decrease button while it was attempting the power up. I disassembled it and checked the power supply. I found no obvious damage- electrolytic caps are within 10% and diodes all hold forward voltage. Ideas?

At what point on the inverter board are the voltages tested? This solution seems feasible but your justification raises more questions than it answers. If voltage is provided off board, then it wouldnt be the inverter but the supplier of the voltage. If voltage is on board conditioned then I wish to test for that PRIOR to ordering a $159 part.

The quick flash and the on-off sound(Clicking noise isn't it?) indicates a faulty relay on the power board. A component level repair might be possible but you are going to need a service manual for this one more so its the failed protectors that knockout the relays more often than not. A component by component voltage/resistance measurement and comparing it with the values in the service manual are critical for this repair.
Unfortunately I don't have one for this model. See if you can find one online.

You could have a bad inverter board.

The inverter is the high voltage board that provides variable power to the backlight lamp. This is the most common. When inverter is faulty you can get no picture, or a very dim picture that can only be seen by pointing a torch light with a 45 degree angle on the LCD surface from very near distance. The inverter must be tested by reading voltages with a multimeter.

For this case, it would be best to contact the manufacturer or have a local repair tech to check it or replace the bad component for you.

Good luck and have a great day!

Turn tv on. green light solid display, no picture or sound

The flashing green light is likely indicative of a self-test failure, indicating the TV has detected some sort of internal fault. With no picture or sound, one strong suspect is the power supply. Flat-panel TV's have an internal DC power supply that converts the inbound AC current, and when these fail, or are unable to supply a minimum level of power to the set, it can behave as you describe, providing only enough power for the green light to illuminate.

I have a jvc lt-26a6asj tv blue power light is on but no picture just black screen when turn on and off get a flash of picture but then goes to black screen

hi, the most probably is broken one of neon lamps that illuminates led display .you can check that when you turn it on and flashes, see if one side of screen is brighter then other. also,it can be that power supply in led display got weakened and haven`t got enough power, but that is job for service like any bigger failure.
this is not the only answer, there is always several solutions but you have to give more informations about malfunctions. good luck!
