I would like to try to get the card out before I send it off and don't see the camera for weeks on end.  Thanks anyway.

I know how to remove the card.  It's stuck.  Has anyone else had the card get stuck?

Thanks for your help.  I tried it and the card came out but the metal contacts came off the card and are stuck in the camera.  I'll have to bring it in to a repair shop.  Thanks anyway.

On this camera I believe you need to press down on the card slightly. You should feel a little click and when you release on the card it will pop up. I hope this helps.

If the card is stuck, then after depressing it, using a small, very small screwdriver or a stretched out small paperclip and gently pry up on the card. I hope that helps. Also if you make a very very slight 90 degree bend on the end of the paperclip this will help grab it when you ease it out. Be Gentle

I BOUGHT A USED OLYMPUS D-395 CAMERA, WITH NO CARD . WHAT CARD DO I NEED

The camera takes a 3V xD Picture Card (3.3 V). The original one was 16 MB; the camera will support an xD card between 16 and 512 MB. Olympus will sell you a 256 MB card for $10 here: https://us.buyolympus.com/xd-picture-card-h256mb.html . Another site with the correct size xD Picture cards is http://www.memorysuppliers.com/olxdpiccar.html .

Details for the Olympus D-395 camera are available from Olympus under Archived Products. See http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_archived_product_details.asp?id=953 . Links to the manual and specs are on the site.

I hope this helps.

Hi, Can't find 256 MB xd picture card for older camera?

Hi Mark,

I did some checking and found that another expert had a similar question on 10/2/08. According to kenshin99, the limit on the cards is 256mb but some have had luck with the 512mb cards.

I think your best place to find those would be on sites like eBay or Craigslist

Can i use a 1gb xd card in the olympus d-560 zoom ? i get a ''format'' screen, but can't format the card

the reason why you have that error is because this camera will only support up to 256 MB of memory card so the 1 GIG wont really work with it....

Can i use a sd memory card with my olympus fe 330

No this is not possible. Olympus is using the xD-Picture Card.
If you get an microSD to xD adapter (Olympus MASD-1 adapter) it is possible to use Micro SD Cards.

Olympus c-730, does it support xD-Picture cards greater than 128M

The problem is that the largest xD card that your camera can support is an M or H 512mb card. The 1gb or 2gb cards are not compatible. The firmware in the camera cannot support memory storage with that capacity. The camera came out before those cards did and there no plans to upgrade the camera to allow those types of cards to be supported.

Do you mean you want to use a 1 gig xD card in your C-750? You can't do that. The C-750 has a memory card size limit of 512 mb.

"Write Protect" on Olympus FE-115

Check the manual to discover how write protect is achieved with your particular camera/card Some card rely on a silver foil stick[Smart Media] other have a switch. Compact flash rely on a control on the camera. So you will have to have a good browse through the manual - do not forget that there is a Full manual in PDF on the software disk.

XD Picture Memory Cards

What is the advantage of a 1 gig over two 512meg cards: Usually the 1 gig will be priced lower than 2 512 cards. The 1 gig card will hold twice as many photos. That is about it. .................... Brand name has turned out to be a non-issue for almost all memory cards. They have to be made to a standard and they will all work. Olympus and Fujifilm came up with the xD card. And Sandisk is a trusted card maker. I believe that Olympus may have a stitch feature that is only available if you use the Olympus brand of card. A gimmick to sell more of their brand of cards. This is pretty much of a non issue too, as there are plenty of software programs that can do stitching for panorama photos.
