I would recommed you perform a hard reset. please follow these steps:

To perform a “Hard Reset” on the Treo 600:

  • Unscrew the tip from your stylus
  • Locate the “RESET” hole on the back of your Treo 600
  • Press and hold the power button on the top of your Treo and then press the reset button with the stylus pin
  • Remove the pin from the reset hole FIRST, and then release the power button.
  • The screen will say “erase all data?”, tap the up arrow to answer yes

I must tell you that what you are experiencing is common in that specific model. It just happens..just like that. At this point, i don't want you to think that your touch screen is dead but there is that possibility.
Open your phone, do some cleaning because bad contact normally causes that. if still no response, then your phones touch screen digitizer is dead. consider replacing it.

    Regards

Here are a couple of solutions, try them in order.

1.start making adjustments inward until the tap is registered and accepted. Once the phone allows you to pass this step, you can try to recalibrate the screen from the preferences.

2. Do a hard reset, to do this press the "up" button while pressing the "Reset" button

I know this works is the software program is just locked up, lots of other users have tried it, so in your case the hardware has failed inside the device and you will need to have it repaired.

Hi, Have a Kyocera KM4050 copier/scanner/printer with a touch screen. The touch screen is out of alignment (i.e. where you point does not align with what is sensed by the touch screen) and needs...

First you have to get into the maintenance mode. It is important once in there you don't make any changes other than the one I tell you or you could damage the machine.

To get into maintenance mode do the following:

Press the STATUS KEY

With the numeric key pad key in 10871087 (if done correctly the display will change and say ENTER MAINTENANCE ITEM)

Enter 201 with the numeric key pad (follow the steps below):

1. Press the start key.

2. Select the [INITIALIZE].

3. Press the start key.

4. Press the center of the + keys. Be sure to press three + keys displayed in order. The touch panel is adjusted automatically.

5. Press the indicated three + keys, and then check the display.

6. Press the stop key. The screen for selecting a maintenance item No. is displayed.

Completion
Press the stop key. The screen for selecting a maintenance item No. is displayed.

Now to exit maintenance mode key in 001 with the numeric key pad

Press the Start Key ( you should be back to the status screen, press copy key to go back to the copy mode)

Remember do not go to any other maintenance mode or make any other changes.

Touch pad is not working.

Go into Settings > Personal > Input
Down the bottom it should say "If stylus taps become inaccurate, align the touch screen."
Click on the word "align" that should be blue.

My touch screen froze, so I did a soft reset. This didn't work. So I did a hard reset. All seemed to be going to plan until the 'Align screen' appears. I align the screen as instructed but instead of going...

Whenever you do the alignment touch the spot on the screen with the stylus and hold the stylus on the mark until it moves to the next corner.... this may work
