Mouse is not working

All of the sudden my mouse is not working. I just removed the win32.skynet virus from it. Did it kill my mouse?

1.Not likely but it may have disable the ports for the mouse. 2.Try the mouse in another computer to see if it is still working if so, then your port for the mouse in the said PC has a malfunction. 3. check the device manager with the mouse connected and see if the mouse drive can be update or rolled back to the original before the virus was injected. 4.Make sure your virus protection is on at all times. Microsoft has a free anti- virus that can be downloaded for Windows XP and Windows 7 My suggestion is to back up important files and format the drive and reload the Operating System with the mouse and keyboard connected for the Operating system to detect them again.

Your right, the virus kill the mouse functions. But don't worry you can configure it again by setting up the bios again.

Win32/Spatet.A trojan

while I am not familiar with the "eset" A/V program (actually never heard of it before) I would STRONGLY suggest that you go to their website and try whatever forums may be there first as that anything that we would have to say might very well "kill" your system because there are SO many versions of WIN XP (OEM, Home Pro, etc) and they would have VERY intimate knowledge of the software that you are using.

hello,
Try updating your antvirus software and then restart your system in safemode. Then scan your full scan your system in safe mode. That will help you in deleting any kind of virus affected in your system. Try ESET NOD 32 Antivirus its more effective than avira.

I have a virus I cannot remove from my hard drive

If you can go to Avira.com and download there repair disk, you can put it on a disk or flash drive, it will run before windows starts(dos), you force the lap to boot from the disk. If this is a virus Avira will kill it.
Avira is the 2nd top anti-virus on planet, there free edition is better
than AVG, Avg is 21 out of the top 20 anti-virus.

Yes, if you reinstall windows and delete the drive, install to (C) new raw and format, it will be gone, but a lot of work when you don't need to.
