Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

If you are moving from place to place in the house, there may be dead spots? Are the other devices static? Is it the only device that moves about the house, all the time? Perhaps it's the Apple device, the antenna? Try at another location. Contact Apple, it may be a Known fault, You have heard of the antenna issues with the iPhone 5? If you hold it a certain way, it doesn't connect or will lose a signal.

Unable to connect to wifi network on ipod 2g touch

You must have your wireless profile's name and passkey.  Try resetting your router, then make sure you create a new profile for your desktop and take note of the details (ie name, WEP/WPA Key)  Should work just fine if you follow the steps.

ITouch wifi

Make sure you have WiFi enabled in the ipod touch and also make sure the place you are connecting to uses WifI as some may use ISDN, bluetooth, etc.

I have heaard there have been problems with the 2.0 Version, so you might also want to check for updates for the ipod touch.
