Hi,
A few things can go wrong to cause the water not to pump out.
Check the drain hose for a clog
check the bottom of the dishwasher for food blocking the outlet
next you may have to remove the lower rack and the lower sray arm to get to the actual pump part. Make sure the pump impeller is okay, this is under neath the spary impeller.
The drain solenoid valve could have failed. Check to see if power is going to it and if you have power and it is not opening then it is bad.
If your dishwasher has diverting lever, it may be sticking and not allowing the water out.

As you can see there are a few things that need to be checked to isolate the problem.

I hope that you are able to isolate and find your problem quickly.

Hello,
Here are some things to check. If you have any problems with checking these items, perhaps the best solution would be to have a professional technician check it out.

*There could be an obstruction in the drain line. Also check the line for kinks.

* It could be a bad pump. If the drain impeller in the pump is defective, the water will not drain. Check the pump impeller for proper operation.

*The timer is a series of switches that controls all machine functions. If one of the contacts in the timer is defective, the machine will lose that function. In most cases this requires a professional technician.

* The water pump is driven by the drive motor. If the motor is defective, the pump will not operate and the water will remain in the tub.

I hope this helps.

My 7 year old Bosch dishwasher (SHE56C) started to run for hours when set to wash on any cycle.

Do you hear it go into the drain cycle that is do you hear the drain pump run at some stage. What happens in the rinse program (short cycle)? It is likely the thermostat is not working or the water temperature is too low due to heater problems.

Bosch Dishwasher has started acting upo. If I turn on the dishwasher it runs the pump for approx 2 seconds then cuts out. This carries on the cycle spraying the soapy suds around the compartment but there...

Most dishwashers pump out briefly before filling in order to clear pressure chamber. The next step is the water fill which is monitored by the pressure/level switch. Once water level is attained timer will advance through cold rinse cycle. If no fill is happening, would suspect inlet valve faulty in the first instance.

My dishwasher is just three years old. The other night my wife said it made a loud noise while it was running and now it is full of water at the end of the cycle. Any ideas?

The pump attached to the end of the motor shaft inside the tub may have broken. If it doesn't spin the water wont pump out but usually the water wont spray on the dishes either. Watch it run a second with the door open and the door switch make to see if it's spraying.

Bosch dishwasher Water pump not stopping

Hi.

You need to replace the pressure switch located near to the pump, in the drain assembly.
The main function of the pressure switch is to turn off pump when there is no more water.
The pressure switch can be tested reading ohms on switch contacts and jumping the switch. This must be done by a technician.

You can get parts and a quote on repair calling Bosch at the number listed on the manual.

Regards.

Bosch SHX46A (6 years old) Selected regular cycle, pressed On and closed door. Cycle did not start normally. Pump runs, but no water is coming into the DW. I confirmed the water supply line is turned on....

From your description, I doubt that the problem is door latch is the cause.
The first thing that a modern dishwasher does before it begins to fill with water is run the drain pump.  It appears that this DW is not progressing to the next cycle (inlet water) and because the pump runs even when the door is open, I agree that the controller card may have failed.
If possible, inspect all the wire connections (remove main power before you do this) ... if there is a loose connection, the controller could do odd things.
Good Luck!  Please report back what you find, OK?

Bosch dishwasher timer freezing

There is a recall on the control board of many of these models, butyour problem is likely not related. It sounds like a plugged drain system or a possible bad drain pump. That's why you are hearing the pump running constantly. I have written a guide to help. It is here. Thanks!

Will not pump out dirty water

Is it hooked to a garbage disp. If so make sure the knock out is out. Then if you can use a volt meter. take off the 2 screws at the bottom of the unit on the left side is your drain pump. take off the 2 wires put your meter on ac and put your leads on the wires then run it in a cxl cycle. (the cxl will depend on your unit you will press two buttons @ the same time and hold it it will light up 2(2min))
if you get 110 you have a bad pump........
