Sounds like the motor or it's drive circuit, is pulling all the power so the amp shuts down. You need to check the motor or it's power supply section to see if it's faulty.

When i turn up the volume my amp shuts down i turn it down and it comes back on. I have a crossfire vr1000d what am i doing wrong?

Hi,
Is the protect light in your amplifier turns on when it shuts down? If yes, then your amplifier lacks voltage. The reason why it goes on protect mode is, the amplifier is needing an amount of voltage from your car, since your car cannot provide that amount of voltage your amplifier is not getting anything, instead of getting voltage to produce watts its getting minimum voltage & producing heat, to save itself it goes on protect mode so the incoming power shuts off & cools the amplifier.
Example:
Your on vol 40, amplifier is working fine, when you turn it up to vol 50 your amplifier shuts of, then you put it back to vol 40 & your amplifier turns back on.
At vol 40 your voltage is 12v or above. but in vol 50 your voltage drops to 11 & below.

Check your battery or alternator if they are giving enough voltage

Hope this helps your inquiry. Have a blessed weekend.

Ok, i love the tones on this amp, but for some reason, i start to play, not even on at a high volume, just like at a nice level, ill play it for like 5-8 mins and it will shut off, like the power is still...

This is a tiny amp good for practice at low volume levels. You are likely overdriving it and the power amp chip goes into thermal protect. If you volume level is much louder than a small boom box, you are driving it too hard. Best to get a bigger amp.

Very nice amp!

First off, is the amp getting sufficient power? An unreliable AC current from your wall can affect the performance.

Have you tried the amp with a different speaker? Checked for a loose connection from the amp to the speaker? Is it the correct ohms rating?

Second, are you experienced in electronics? The problem could lie in a faulty solder connection, a bad component, etc.

If you are not confident in opening the amp and troubleshooting it yourself, take it to a audio repairman. Marshall's are some of the easier ones to fix.....

mosfet have a built in shut off incase of a blown resistor, if the resistor blows,it will shut down the amp, the resistors job is to inhibit power to prevent overheating, you will have to check the OHMS of each resistor to find out which one has gone......hope this was helpfull

forget hooking this on a subwoofer. this amp produces only 50 watts per channel at 4ohms or 70 watts per channel at 2 ohms RMS...
If you try bridging the sub, it will only give out maybe 100watts bridged.
So..... if your sub is, lets say 1000watts RMS, youre just going to bust your amplifier to smoke...
Find a more decent and powerful amp. This amp is only intended for separates and lowend subs with an RMS of 80 to 150 watts

Thumping speakers - no power light is on - wired correctly

the amp is going into protect mode due to something wrong in the amp or some thing in the wiring to it ooh yea if you are getting 18v power to the amp that is way to high it should not be higher then 15v if the amp is in protect mode it will not play at all.
