Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

I used wrong detergent by mistake..., and I found washing machine all in foam - A LOT OF FOAM.. It looked that foam went from behind-bottom of machine(not from the drain pipe at that time). I washed outside-inside with water every remains of detergent and constantly pumping out water.. Now machine is working normally but the water slowly comes from the drain pipe all the time.. Is there some valve or something, is my pump "gone"?? My machine is vertical (top), the one year old CANDY (model: Smart CTG 1056). Thanks!

    Sorry Sir!

What's that IVORY shop (you mean soap??). However there's no such a thing in the country where I am (Greece) . Can you describe that soap and what can be similar effect to it (some other solution). Thanks!

Mister emissionwiz, I'll accept your solution after this despite you insist it's shop (not soap) and I'll really like to see you spending whole your vacation searching for such a thing around here. However I cannot really understand what Acropolis has to do with my washing machine but it remembers me that the first known soap was made on Greek ships thousands years ago..., not few hundred.. I feel really stupid I didn't open my washing machine in a first place, first of all. This is what I'll do right now! Thanks anyway!

Get a bar of IVORY brand shop and throw it into the washer, this will disperse the suds and the machine should straighten out, this is an old trick for this type of problem, the IVORY instantly dissolves the suds, your pump is just full of suds, I am sure no permanent damage was done.

Whirlpool dp1040xtx flashing code 61 and 66. 61 flashed a couple times. What's wrong?

F6E1 - Water is not present in the machine when it should be.

Could be: inlet hose filter clogged, blocked holes on spray arms, dishes not loaded according to manual, water tap closed or water pressure too low, drain hose placed incorrectly, DW filters clogged, check dispenser (missing dispenser gasket, improper detergent), check water indicator (OWI or VWI) depending of model DW, check connections beetwen OWI (optical water indicator) and CB (control board), main motor, wiring, control board.

Check the foam level in the appliance. Depending what kind of detergent was used. Was the foam level too high?
Comment: Washing tabs combined with short washing cycles can produce too high foam level.

Error code E3

E3 on Samsung Washers is generally associated with Overflow/Fill problem, and is often the result of using the WRONG type of detergent or overdosing with detergent, both leading to excessive foam. This soap foam falsifies the pressure switch detection error of an overfill.

If someone uses wrong washing power and puts front loader washing power in a top loader can that do or cause any sort problems

That's no big deal. It won't harm a top load washer. Just try to use the proper stuff next time.

However, you should never use regular top load laundry detergent (non HE) in a front loading machine though, because that can quickly cause problems.

Good luck.

My dishwasher is leaking huge amounts of foam to the floor. This is what happened before I ran the cycle: I had mistakenly poured detergent into the "Rinse Aid" slot in the inner side of the dishwasher...

OK.... The rinse aid dispenser holds enough rinse aid for a lot of washes and dispenses very little each time. So you may nedd to have the dispenser emptied by a technician. If you take the door liner off you can see the back of the dispenser and maybe you can work out how to empty it. Holding the actuator in manually could allow the rinse aid dispenser to run out. Then wipe the tank dry with a towel. Putting high fat milk in the machine while it is rinsing will neutralise the foam. Just one cup will do. Good Luck.....T.

F02 keeps showing on display

If, after
four (4) minutes the pressure switch still senses foam in the wash tub, the Central Control Unit will
go into Failure Mode. The digital display will show, F02.
Cause: wrong detergent, too much of the right detergent, detergent placed in wrong compartment.

Neff Integrated slimline - Programme does not complete.

IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH ITS NOT HEATING DETERGENT AND RINSE AID INTRODUCED INTO COLD WATER WILL GENERATE A LOT OF FOAM,IS APPLIANCE WARM INSIDE AT END OF CYCLE?OR IT COULD BE TOO MUCH RINSE AID IF IT IS FILLED WITH RINSE AID AND YOU ARE USING A TABLET WITH RINSE AID COMBINED IT WILL HAVE TOO MUCH TO USE IN ONE WASH.

My dishwasher has been producing so much foam that it leaks out on to the floor. This has not happened before in the fifteen years we have had the machine. The detergent is the same so how do I stop the...

foam can only come from the detergent!! usual reason is that somebody has used washing up fluid - you may not have known. to get rid of the foam, put on a wash cycle and sprinkle some salt on the foam
