Question about Car Audio & Video
I tried reseting the system of a Chrysler REC navigation unit to allow installation of an older map dvd and now just have a black screen. The radio functions all work still, but I have no display! Help!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

If you remove the unit from the dash the top, take off the top cover, no screws you can acess the CD slot. Remove the 4 screws holding the CD player in place and the ribbon cable and you should be able to remove the CD from the slot.

SOURCE: probleme with rb4 and dvd
The only reason the DVD will not function with the RB4 is if the DVD unit is not talking on the BUS. The RB4 will work with the factory DVD single disc/or DVD changer.Make sure that the BUS is connected to the DVD unit and the Van thru the 22 pin and 10 pin connectors on the back of the radio.
