Question about Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless Router
22.214.171.124 is not the router address, but a random IP assigned by computer DHCP itself, as the router had been unable to assign IPs in range.
Check the ethernet cable, if you have a spare one, replace it.
Disconnect power cord (turning off is not enough) from both router and PC. Restart router first and PC afterward.
Disconnect ethernet cable from router , then go to installed devices and remove the ethernet card on PC from the list. Reinstall the ethernet card.
If still no luck, then the router may be faulty. In that case the first step in troubleshooting will be using the pinhole button to reset the router.
After resetting, check if the router is giving out correct IP. If it is, all the broadband settings will need to be entered again. In that case the best thing to do is calling the Internet Provider to get the setting at phone.
