Question about Canon FAX-JX200
IIRC 5100 means that the ink carriage is stuck / there is paper jammed in the fax machine.
Did you lift the cartridge up to where it was able to clear the paper deck? Remove the cartridge and see if it goes away, if does then you probably have a defective cartridge are are not inserting it correctly.
When CHECK 5100 is displayed:
1. Check if any paper is jammed. If jammed, make sure to take out all the jammed paper.
2. After taking out jammed paper, turn the fax off, then turn it back on with [ON/OFF]
Also can check here Troubleshooting for your JX Fax (page 67)
Hope thats help.
