Question about Kenmore Dishwashers
Does the drain line connect to the disposal?if so and dirty water is inside dishwasher the line must be looped under the sink so nothing can run back into the dishwasher, tie the drain line up higher than the disposal or higher than the point where it connects to the drain pipe so nothing can drain back into the washer.are you sure the water is draining out of the machine?fill it up and hit cancel drain and listen to see if you hear it draining in the sink,if the line isn't looped you could have a block in the drain line or in the pump

White film deposits are observed if water is hard or when you are using more detergent than needed, try filling detergent cup half way. Try using white vinegar after the wash cycle is complete, run a complete cycle. Also turn down the heat on the hot water fed to the dishwasher. Try using water softener for better results.
You can also add vinegar in the final rinse cycle.
Hope this helps... Please post back if more information is required.
