1. Yes, if there are updates available.
You should be able to go to the Nvidia site and download the updated drivers for your graphic card.
2. Nvidia is pretty good about notifying there customers as to updated drivers.
3. Since you have given the motherboard. I suggest also going the mother board manufacturers site and see if there are any updates for that board also
4. You may also go to purchase a new graphics board for either a pci or pcimia slot at your local PC super store. Check for compatibility for *********** board.
5. clarify what Operating system you are using when going the PC Store so that you have the correct requirements for the new board.

Grapghics card or ram?

No need for extra memory, your onboard video card is truly ancient- replace it with the best PCI-E video card you can buy.

My graphics has just stopped working help please , the pc was working fine on tuesday and wed night when i turned it on there was no graphics . I have an nvidia gx card in it but cant even get anything...

shut down, unplug or turn off power supply switch. if you have internal leds, wait till they're off! open case- remove video card- clean fingers with rubbing alcohol (use q-tips-gently), then, after alcohol evaporates, re-insert card- then, after restoring power, re-boot and try again!!
if this doesn't work, you may have driver problem, or a nasty virus. not a happy prospect! hopefully you have a video alternative, and can still access the internet.
if you have an anti-virus prog., update and run it. if not, try a2- it's free and pretty good. try going to Nvidea and downloading a new set of drivers.
if you have another graphics card, try using that to access the net and repair your nvidia drivers.
good luck!

Graffics accelerator failure

Hi Carpeteddy,
The ASRock K7VT6 motherboard does not have a intergrated graphics card onboard. So your 1.5V, AGP8X / 4X card needs replaced. It wouldn't hurt to uninstall the AGP's driver software, reboot the system & re-install the software. Check the manufactures web site for updated driver software before replacing it.

Here is a link to an XFX 1.5v AGP card:

The good part of XFX is its warranted for life!

Good luck Carpeteddy!

Dispaly graphic drivers

first of all you need to find out what your graphics card is
eg intel onboard/ nvidea/ATI
you need make and model
I use Unidentified device driver search net and download when installed use to find type of video card note name and number (write down) go to google and search for them
EG. nvidea 2345 drivers
this is how you would put it in search engine Its the smae for any other drivers you may need in future

Games work slow

Hi, You said ALL your games are choppy ....Conan is a demanding game ..
Example:

I have seen it run on a MSI board with 2 Gs of PC6400 (800mhz) / AM2 4800 X2 (2.5Ghz) with an AGP!!! GS7800 Nvidea video card (which was a good card in its day...42Ghz bandwidth) ...it ran at about 30fps on Medium settings which is livable???...

The first thing to do is to make sure you have all the latest drivers for your Motherboard from HP (made by Asus for HP )
also make sure Windows OS it self is all up to date ....
The video card is 8800 Nvidea ? which one?
Go to the Nvidea and get the lastest drivers for it ...this is MOST IMPORTANT ...
You also have onboard Graphics card 6150 ...go to Device Manager and see what is listed....To access Device Manger Go to ....Start>Control panel > Systems ( maintenance) and select Device Manager....click the + sign next to Display adapters and if the (6150 onboard graphics adapter) is listed with the 8800 right click on the "6150 " choose Properties and make sure it says..... ( do not use (disable) under .".Device usage."....
....Apparently these can run concurrently

HP says PC6400 Ram (800 mhz) will run on this board.....a PRICEY option of course
NOTE: All RAM isn't created equal it is best to use a Quality RAM from the SAME manufacturer //try not to mix n match

Lastly there's the Power Supply ...the new Video card will draw more power ....a good 500 plus watt PS with good Amps well
across the Voltage rails 3/5/12 .....25A plus is a good target
Again more money :)

Also turn OFF Programs while gaming I do no matter how fast the Rig is .... ie Antivirus...etc..... every little bit helps

Do the Driver updates and see what happens ...Good Luck
